It appears to lift 8' but may be 10' since there is a lot of chain left to pull at 8' The main sprocket is approx. 6.25" in diameter and the load sprocket is approx. 5.25" The hook openings are 1" and each sprocket has a grease zerk for lubing the main shafts. The hoist pulls free in both directions, and holds the load. The chain appears to be in excellent condition. The spring loaded clips on the hooks work well and secure the load.
