This is a Budgit 1/4 ton rated chain hoist connected to a Lift tech trolley. Surplus from a local pharmaceutical company. This hoist and trolley appear to be used very little. The trolley has steel sides with stainless steel wheels. The hoist body is aluminum the load chain is stainless steel with a brass hook. The pull chain is brass the load chain bucket is stainless steel. The pull chain is 11'6" in the doubled position or working length. The load chain is 14 feet long. The trolley width can be adjusted in width and currently set to fit a 4" wide flange. Please see pictures for additional information. Five Chain Hoist/Rated at 5000 Lbs/Used/Mfr Little Rhino/Poss Military Use
I found this multiple chain hoist on a scrap heap about 10 years ago and it has hung in my shop since then. I finally found some data on these type chains searching the I-Net so am listing it for sale. First let me say although I found a pretty substantial amount of data on these hoists I did not find any specific use for this one. Following is what I have found: The five hooks w/safety spring loaded chains bars show P/N 3029 Fc79. These hooks show what appears to be remnants of olive drab paint so I believe these had some type military use and probably civilian use as well( There are five chains. 1/4 inch, Grade A, serial number Little Rhino R100, W.L.L. 5000 lbs, 60- 90 degrees( Date is 7 7 79. Also embossed with REACH FT. IN. no further data provided. The length of the five chains are: Three are 51 inches long, one is 55 and the other ... moreis 61 inches. I can't explain the variance in length but am assuming they had a special purchase. Both ends of the chain are equipped with schackles that can be disassembled to enable you to shorten or lengthen the chains by removing a pin. see photo) Shipping will be via USPS at 25 pounds. Up for bid is this rolling gantry crane with a 1-ton chain hoist. It is approximately 19 feet wide caster to caster. 13 1/2 feet high to the bottom of the trolley and 102" deep caster to caster. It is mounted on 4-12 inch swiveling casters and comes with a second trolley on the beam. The chain hoist works smoothly. it is an older one and probably has more than 1 ton capacity.
