This is from the orginal Western Block Co. Lockport, N.Y. I belive they started in the 1880`s and closed in the early 1980`s. Pulley works fine. 1950 Briggs and Stratton Model 5S, Rope Start, Double Pulley, VERY NICE
Here is another example of a nice Briggs and Stratton engine. This is the 5S model. Type number 70026, serial number 207882. This is a rope start model(rope not included) and it has a double belt pulley on the PTO side. This engine has been refurbished by the previous owner. Disassembled, cleaned, gaskets replaced and test run. It has a nice spark and should only need some oil in the pan and fresh gas to get it going again. The gas tank is clean and dry. Has very minor surface corrosion due to high humidity in the South, but should clean out after the first run. The oil bath cleaner is nice and not dented. Very minor, small dents in the shroud, don't know if they are visible in the pictures. Just noticed while putting it on a scale, the lower section of the shroud seems to have a piece of sheet metal replaced. Professionally welded in ... moreand painted. Not noticeable when mounted. The muffler is extended. You can change it if you like. Overall. Great example of these little engines, good starter engine for a newcomer or young enthusiast. Show ready. I have to see what boxes I have available for shipping. I may remove the air filter and spark plug for this process. Consider a boxed shipping weight of approx. 50lbs. Vintage Pair of Nautical Rope & Pulley Table Lamps
Offered is a pair of interesting large table lamps with a nautical motif. They light in the standard fashion. And also have a secondary lamp with a glass shade at midpoint on the lamp. The switch is a four-way: all on, lower on, upper on and all off. They are used; the ropes could use a little trimming, and the bases could use a fresh coat of varnish, as it is wearing off in some places. I would characterize them as being in overall good condition. They each weigh 6lbs, and are 30" to the top of the harp. Vintage primitive farm wooden barn hay rope pulley central Minnesota farm
This is an all wooden pulley except for the top eye hook that came from an upper midwest farm. It is in good condition. These pulleys were used when I was young in the barn to lift the bales up into the mow. Some farmers pitched forked the hay loosely into the mow instead of baling it. In that event us kids tied one end of the rope to a beam. Through the pulley, and then used the other end to swing out into the hay and let loose yelling"Geronimo! Other times these were used for the old fashioned open wells with a rope, bucket, and crank.This is a very interesting primitive farm item that would look really cool on a family room or den wall. For sale is an antique Star Hoist Pulley no. 52 made in Harvard illinois. As you can see it has dual wheels that are metal. The hoist is in good condition considering it's age. It has the metal Star Hoist tag on it that is in very good condition. It measures approx. 22" long by 2 1/2" thick. It has a swivel on the end.
