Set of 12" 8 lug Mapex Sonic Saver hoops for a snare drum.
Up for grabs is a like new condition set of Mapex Sonic Saver hoops for a 12" 8 lug snare drum. These are very similar to Slingerland Stick Saver hoops. They're a little heavier than a 2.3 mil hoop and have a nice smooth round edge that saves your sticks. Sound wise. They lie between a 2.3 mil hoop and a die cast hoop. Solid rim shots and a great rim click sound. They focus the drums tone like a die cast hoop but are a bit more open sounding. I only accept PayPal. Free shipping to the lower 48 only. This one-owner snare was purchased new in late 2003. 9mm shell is comprised of a single rolled ply of 3mm walnut. No snare beds. It originally had cherry wood hoops but I replaced those with a Pearl Super Hoop top and Yamaha Dyna-Hoop bottom. The cherry hoops are not included. All other hardware. Bottom head and snare wires are original. 10 lugs. Very low mileage drum with only a few light pin-like scratches. Hardware is pit and rust-free. This snare barks and whispers equally as well. Original retail was $529 and comparable current Dunnett Classic MonoPly Walnut snares sell for $850.

I have found these additional lug sets in a lot of NOS frame building I have purchased. These are NOS cinelli CS lug sets from the 60s and 70s. They are an Italian made stamped lug set. They fit classic tube configuration 1" 25.4 top. 1 1/8"28.6 down and seat tube, 1 1/4/31.7 head tube. They have been cleaned of the surface rust from years of storage and are in mint condition for frame construction. I have been able to put this small number of sets together for buy it now selling rather than an auction. I can fit quite a few in a small flat rate box for combined shipping. Slingerland model 191 10 lug 6.5 x 14 5 ply snare w slap shot strainer EXC cond
For bid a Slingerland 10 lug TDR wood snare drum model# 191. This is from the 100 series snare with the slap shot strainer system. This was offered from 1981 to 1985. The drum is 6.5 X 14 and is about 30 years old. It is a 5 ply shell. All original. Right down to the wires, the heads are new old stock Slingerlands/ Evans from a few years after this drum was made. It is in excellent condition. There are a few tiny marks in the wrap, the chrome is super shiny, again very few marks. The snare gate has one blemish on it, a fleck or dull spot in the chrome. I tried to get a picture of it. The only other odd thing is the badge is on sideways& held with a rivet. The vent is correct for the era& looks completely undisturbed. For auction is a very rare vintage antique 1890's apothecary pharmacy general store medical bottle/ jar. This jar has a wonder label under glass for Cannabis Indica. Aka Marijuana, weed, pot, ganja, smoke, endo, etc. This jar has information on the bottom and says: Patd March 6th 1894, F& S St Louis MO. The jar is farly good size, and with the lid on it measures 10 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches square. The main body of the jar without the lid measures 8 3/4 inches tall. The mouth or opening of the jar measures 2 1/4 inches across. The jar itself is in very good condition with no breaks, no chips, maybe some light small scratches. The inside rim of the jar has 1 small chip and a couple super tiny fleabites. The label is in good shape with no cracking, but what looks like some light fading or discoloring. The ornate fancy lid to the jar ... moreis also in very good shape with 1 small nick on the upper part that fits inside the jar, and some tiny fleabites. Here we have a RARE WFL(William F. Ludwig) LUDWIG Mahogany Snare Drum that is pretty much original. Except for the snare, and heads, everything else original. Nickel bow tie lugs(6) and hoops, strainer and butt plug nickel. The drum either dates from 1958 or 1948(it has a 1948 type Chcago badge, no serial number. The drum is in nice shape for it's age, no extra holes, no muffler(never had one) it has a P etched into it(see photo) and nsome small scrapes and marks, but not bad considering it's age. The Nickel is pretty much flawless, beautiful wood. For a dark sounding wood like Mahogany, it has a real snap to it when the snare is engaged. This drum is in collectable condition. I'm not 100% sure that is what this is so please note. You are buying the snare drum that is PICTURED. The shell had some dents and was slightly out of round but was corrected as best possible. VTG 60s Premier Gretsch Leedy Snare Drum 5" x 14" 8 Lug Up for grabs is this 1960s( American/British? made wooden snare drum from Premier? Gretsch? Leedy? This is a wild and wacky estate find and is in decent condition considering age and rarity. There is some moderate oxidation to the hardware. There are some nicks and marks on the finish consistent with normal use. The shell and the hardware don't match- the shell appears to be a Premier. With a white interior finish and is drilled for three-screw tension lug mounts. The rims are from a Leedy Broadway and the snare mechanism is Gretsch. This drum functions as/is, but would probably be better for a repair/restoration expert to harvest parts for all of the expensive individual drums that this is constructed from. For your consideration is a cool and unique snare drum. A 6x15 built from clear acrylic RCI shell with 8 coffin-style lugs and a Pearl-style throw and butt. Installed is a Puresound wire and good condition used Remo heads. This drum has clean, smooth, hand-filed edges and four vent holes for tones of crack and body. The shell itself has a few tiny scuffs from use which we attempted to photograph in image#3 above. Overall, this is an aggressive drum with sharp report and tons of depth thanks to the 15" size. NJ We have alot of these bottle in the range so if you are starting or rounding out a collection please look and we combine shipping. These bottle were taken out of the original container they were packed for the labels please refer to the photos as I tried to get a close up of each lable. 70s/80s Yamaha SD-055MD 9000 Series 10 lug Recording Custom Snare, Near Mint!!
Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous vintage 1970's/1980's Yamaha SD-055MD Snare drum in near mint condition! This drum was part of the 9000 series of Yamaha drums. You can see this drum in the last image from the 1978 Yamaha catalog. This is a HEAVY drum and it is in near mint condition with only the slightest signs of use. The shell is practically perfect and there is absolutely no rust or pitting on this drum! Some of the lugs have a few scratches. But they still show beautifully! This snare has dual parallel throw-off, which works perfectly and is very smooth. The drum comes with a 1970's NOS Remo Ambassador top head, but no wires or bottom head.these are easily and cheaply sourced. This drum gives you a serious tone with amazing projection! Glass Label Apothecary Bottle~LUG ~Pharmacy~C 1800s Blown Glass
Apothecary Bottle Circa. 1800's. 9 1/2" tall Blown Glass. LUG(Label Under Glass) The stoppers ground glass base is chipped and the Glass Label is in poor condition. See photo below) The thumbprint top was made wth a large shapely bubble of air in the center section and has no chips or cracks, and the indents are sharply cut. There is a pontil mark on the base. The apothecary bottle. Circa 1870s came from a Brooklyn Pharmacy established in 1875. It measures 9 1/2" high to the top of the ground glass stopper by 2 3/4" wide at the base.
