Hello and thanks for looking. This wonderful old hook would be just the thing to hang in your barn. It would also be nice on the porch with a lovely hanging plant attached to it. It is 13" end to end and weighs four pounds. If you look at the last photo you can see it is curving just a bit on the end of the eye bolt. I would recommend cutting off a little bit of it before attaching a bolt. I don't know the exact age. But looking at the patina, you can tell it wasn't made yesterday. Thank you for your interest.

10 Primitive Rustic Antique Iron Handles Drawer Pulls Hook Eye Farm Barn Find Yeh! My favorite flea market opened for the season. And I am still listing items from my antique store trip as well as the farm auction sale- there’s loooots of new items this week, and something for everyone! This old farm auction lot has so much in common as far as primitive charm- I didn't want to separate them- so what you see is what you get! It's a lot of 10 wonderful primitive antique iron hardware pieces- I have 7 handles(two of which match) One closed loop that looks to be the other end of a latch, one hook that is a heavy iron one- belt buckle in style if you know what I mean, but with more of an industrial or farm purpose(maybe horse tack? and one small piece of iron that is rectangular in shape, has a knob in the center and a mounting hole on ... moreone end- it looks like a latch to me that you could swivel up and down. The largest handle(see photos 5-6) also has the remnants of chippy white paint- it's more gone than there, and you can see what looks like it was a black finish underneath. It measures 5 9/16" long in total and is 1 3/4" wide at the ends. When I set it on the table it is 1 1/2" tall and it weighs a hefty 1/2 lb. There's two screw holes for mounting on either end. They are 4 3/8" apart center hole to center hole and 1 5/8" apart on the same side center hole to center hole. Photos 7-8 show the two matching handles. They measure 5 1/16" long and 1 1/4" wide on either end. There's two screw mounting holes on both ends and they are 4 7/8" apart going acros and 3/4" apart on the same side. Standing on the table, they are 1 3/8" tall and they weigh 1/4" each. They look like they may have had a black finish at one time- it's really hard to tell. Up for auction is an absolutely beautiful. Vintage circa 1970's sterling silver and genuine clear quartz crystal and amethyst bangle bracelet, with a uniquely designed hook and eye closure. This mystical bangle is in outstanding estate condition, with only some very light surface scratches in the silver from light wear. The quartz crystal is clear with no inclusions. The amethyst cabochon is securely set. The bracelet has no dings or bends, keeping the hook and eye closure in excellent working condition with good tension. The quartz crystal measures approx. 1& 1/4" tall by 3/8" wide. The amethyst cabochon measures approx. 8mm tall by 4mm wide. The bracelets inside measurements are approx. 2& 1/2" wide(side to side) by 1& 7/8" deep(from back of crystal mount to back of bangle) It measures approx. 6& ... more1/2" around the inside.
