There is a label inside with PAT'D IN USA on it; followed by dates-the first being 1921 and the last Aug. 1924. Also dates for Great Britain-Last one being 1932. It is peach in color and seems to be in really good condition for its age; the fabric. Stitching, seams, etc. all are in good, strong condition. I have not laundered it; I will leave that to the buyer. There appears to be some type of fur edging on the inside at the top measuring 1 1/2 inches wide. The hardware imprinted with"CAMP" is in very good condition. All of the metal hooks and eyes( 14 in all) are in really good and secure condition. I do not see any rips or tears in the fabric. One of the laces has been mended at some point where it undoubtedly broke; sewn back together. Please look at all pictures as they are part of the description. Here is a nice heavy duty Swivel Cargo Hook. The eye is 5/8 diameter and about 1-5/8" inside diameter. The Hook has a working Latch with about a 1" clear opening. There is no manufacturer name but there are pictures of the marks. One is on the bottom of the swivel eye and on the hook there is a 5 inside a square and another mark on the bottom edge of the hook. VINTAGE Silk and Pearl Beaded Collar with Hook & Eye Closure
This belonged to my grandmother and is at least 50 years old. I've been carrying this around for most of my adult life. And I have absolutely no use for it. Grandma was a seamstress and often added collars, cuffs, velvet decorations, whatever, and made pieces as well as purchasing pieces. This one is in amazing condition. The backing is pristine. as you can see in the photos, and the silvery thread. running throughout the collar is excellent as well. The only issue this collar has is that some of the"pearls" or white beads have lost sheen and some color. However, I happen to think this lends itself to a more vintage look, if it were perfectly white it wouldn't look right. Anyway, have a look at the photos and let me know if you need more info.
