You are bidding on some sort of winch mechanism. Which I believe is for a WWII-era bomber aircraft. The fact that it's constructed mostly of aluminum suggests it's an aircraft part, and it is well-made, featuring nice touches like safety wire on the fasteners. The cable itself is still attached. There is no motor, I don't know if it was hand-operated or powered by a motor. Probably could use a restoration, the mechanism is sticky and doesn't turn easily. A junkyard find. Payment by palpal only. A real nice U. S. Navy WW II Era 1.000 lb bomb Hoist. The cable is difficult to reel in correctly because the cable is kinked at the front end. As shown in the 3rd picture is is difficult to start a tight spool. Although I'm sure it can be reeled tight with 2 men working it. And as shown it does reel in. And overall it is in very good used condition. It is about 17" tall& weights 35 lbs. 5 oz. THANK YOU! I n September 1987 I retired from the U. S. Army and life has been good. Damn good. And I have a blast selling on ebay as a hobby. Although Uncle Sam gets a fair chunk off it.
