Unfortunately. The estate I purchased this from, I was unable to get any history on this metal, cast-iron, John Deere tractor seat. I'm not sure if it is an old one and has just been painted over? or? I did notice some places of wear and again, I'm just not sure. Possible a reproduction? I hope you can tell more about it by looking at the pictures. Side to side, widest part, it measures approximately 14 1/4 inches and approximately 9 1/2- 10 inches from the front of the seat to the back. It weighs over 7 pounds.
