John Deere 40W Front Axle. Removed from a 40W Tractor. Steering Box Down to the wheel hubs. No welded steering arms. Center tube. Bolster, knees all in good condition. Bolt on and go! This front axle was used on the"W" or two row utility tractor in its first year of production(1955) The 420 and 430 tractors switched to a cast iron center section that is often broken. John Deere 330 Two Cylinder Engine. Removed from a 40U Tractor. Valve Cover down to the oil pan. Front Fan back to flywheel. This engine runs good; had it running in the tractor until disassembly. Good antifreeze in the radiator/cooling system. Includes carburator and exhaust manifold(40 exhaust Manifold) Block is the 330 style with casting T10966T. The cylinder head does have a weld on the front part(behind the fan) but it shows no evidence of leaks. Have a video of the engine running(but do not know how to post it here! John Deere 430S Standard Two Cylinder Tractor w/ Cultivator 40 420 320 330 440
John Deere 430S Tractor. John Deere 430 Standard Tractor. Nice little tractor that would be great to restore or use in your garden. Two Cylinder Engine starts and runs great. Tractor has the five speed transmission option and drives good- no obvious transmission issues that I can detect. Hydraulics raise/lower; this tractor has the Dual Touch O Matic Option( more desirable on a standard) This option allows you work a front mount implement independently of the rear three point/toolbar. This 430 has the Factory JD 4110 One Row Mid-Mount Cultivator rig on it including the rear toolbar. I added a#41A Fertilizer Side Dresser designed/matched to the cultivator(first set of four pictures; the next seven pictures are the same tractor before the side dresser was added) Personally I like having a period correct factory implement paired with the tractor ... moreto tell a better story of its history. there are plenty of tractors at tractor shows but tractors with implements seem to draw more attention. Tractor also has the rear weights on spinout rims. If someone wanted the tractor without the side dresser or without the cultivator and side dresser I can quote you a lower price- call if interested. The tractor is not perfect; here are a few things I noticed since Ive owned the tractor. The worst part is a missing Serial Number Tag. These can still be obtained thru a John Deere Territory Manager with the proper engine block number(which this tractor still has) The"new" tag looks different than the original but bears the original serial number and is issued/installed by John Deere. The front left tire airs up but will leak down over time. The front axle has a weld on the center tube. Wiring will be needed; I replaced the switch in the dash but the regulator/generator/etc. needs reconnected. The battery does not go with the tractor as I only keep a couple good 6 volts around the place- you are welcome to drive the tractor around as much as you like here though. Here are some of the parts that we have recently replaced to fine tune it: we had the original carb rebuilt which I have pictured. Air cleaner to carb boot, brake springs and a new original style muffler(not shown in pictures, will add one soon) We also are installing a new dash that will be black, and will be sent back to the switch start. The tractor does have a recent paint job, it is a shade off the correct color, and the sheet metal was not worked over before paint. ... moreThere are some welds on the front end, as most people know the military never treats their equipment with super care. It has been converted to 12 volt and also to push button start. The rear tires are 85% with very minor weather checking. And the front tires have real good tread but are very weather cracked and need replaced. The tractor also comes with a parade seat that attaches to the draw bar which can hold a good amount of weight. It has always been a great eye catcher at many shows and parades. The story behind it is very interesting and makes this tractor as J.R Hobbs said,help provide substance to the conductibility of the C.J. Tractors as a group. You can read about this C.J. Code build in the Two-Cylinder September-October 2003 magazine on page 8. There is also an extra bar above the PTO that we cannot figure out what is used for. If you may know I would really like to know. This is a very rare tractor and as most people that were in the Navy know. Most of these were pushed off the side of the aircraft carriers. The rims have been primed, however, they still need their final coat of paint. The"John Deere" letters for the side of the tin was tossed on accident. The lights have not been wired yet, however, that is all that it would take to get them working. The tires and rims are all new. The serial tag was removed for restoration, will go with tractor. The tractor does have power steering that is working just fine and only 619 came with this option. The rear hydraulic ... morelift is also working out properly as you can see in the video. The original muffler will go with the tractor to whom ever buy it. This is the factor seat and front end that came with the tractor. John Deere 47 Two stage snowblower fits 400 and 420 and others
Up for auction is a 47 two stage snow blower. It will fit a 400 and 420 for sure. It will probably fit others I am not sure which ones. It has minor surface rust from sitting outside and a couple hydraulic connections need wire brushed off. The shaft turns smooth and free the auger is not all dinged or nicked up. It is shaft driven with hydro lift and angle. There are 2 headlights mounted on top of blower. It must be picked up here in the very northwest corner of Ohio right off exit#2 of I-80/90. If you get here to pick it up and feel I have misrepresented it you are not obligated to take it.
