Farmall Super A Tractor With Custom Mounted Meyer Snow Plow, 2pt Hitch, Weights!
For sale is a Farmall Super A tractor. This piece has some nice custom add ons. The guy that owned it before me(said he had it over 30 years) had some custom welding done to add a step up below the pedals which is wonderful and also had the welder custom frame and mount a meyer snow plow. This is one heavy duty plow that will push whatever the tractor will move no question. It is easy to attach or take off and is probably the nicest custom plow setup I have ever seen. Anyhow. About the tractor. It runs nice and operates in all gears. It holds good oil pressure and does not have any welds anywhere I know of. Tires all have good tread and hold air. The one rear tire is newer than the other and is more supple but there should be no worries on the rubber being there to do the job. The clutch is strong and works properly. Brakes work but are certainly ... morenot factory fresh(you need to apply some pressure to them) There are 2 sets of wheel weights on each rear tire and they do have fluid. The tinwork is there and I was told it was original paint although I can't prove it. The charging system works and reads out on the meter. It is still the original 6v system. Hydraulics work as expected. Pto and belt pulley attachment work and operate properly. It does have a drawbar and 2pt lift as well. Radiator is good as is the fuel delivery system. Now for the known issues(not many to list) The throttle linkage is gone and has been rigged up with a wire which is fine for plowing which is what I used it for. It's not a tough fix just needed to bring that up. It does leak a little motor oil and hydraulic fluid(at gasket points as they are 60 years old at this point) It is not a concerning amount and certainly it can be run for many many hours before needing topped off. Not a big deal just needed to mention it. Lights are there but not hooked up. That's about all I know please ask if you have more questions. He and the dealer couldn't reach an agreeable trade in price, so we bought it outrite from him. It starts runs and drives great, and it is 100% ready to take to the field. It runs good, no smoke or blowby. It shifts really good for a'86 series. The hydraulics, shifting, transmission, PTO, 3pt, steering, clutch and brakes are all operational. As are the headlights, blinkers, flashers and taillights. The PTO was just rebuilt last year. It is a good dry tractor with no leaks or oily patches to speak of. Park gear holds good. Digital dash works great, and all gauges and idiot lights seem good. Tractor is ready to go, nice machine. Bad spots on this tractor: The cab inside is a little dirty and dusty. Seat back is ripped. Cab headliner is falling down a bit. But is held up with a couple pieces of wood. Paint is faded. Sometimes if you let it sit for a few days, the fuel siphons back and you either need to crank it a bit longer, or give it a pump on the primer. I am selling an original condition IH pto shield that I just got in a pile of IH parts! Again you get the shield that is shown. I HAVE NEVER HAD ONE OF THESE! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TRACTOR IT FITS! I ASSUME IT IS IHC! It has the same mounting brackets as the shield for the 66 series tractors, but it is a shield for a single speed pto! and it is set up to"possible hinge" again the 66 series shield had the same style top mounting brackets"hooks" but did NOT have a solid"loop" on the bottom brackets! I am not sure what models it fits? It appears to be in good condition and APPEARS ready to take home and use. I have never used it! LOOK at my photos! I am not sure what other tractors it will fit? McCormick 55T Baler I recently purchased this baler at a local FFA auction. As soon as I won the bid. A fellow came up to me and said, My grandpa bought this new in 1954 and it has been in our family ever since! My first question was of course. Will it run and does it bale? He said. Yes to both, they used it 3 years ago, and he said it has always been kept inside. You can find tractors every day. But finding a 59 year old working piece of farm machinary, in this condition, is a rarity. The engine on the baler runs excellent and the baler functions as it should. I have added a video so you can see it running. We ran the baler through a knotting sequence by hand and everything moved and worked as it should. The only thing on the baler that is not original that I can tell is the left hand tire and rim. It does have a bend in the sheet metal ... moreon the back side of the pickup as you can see in the pictures.
