Allis Chalmers WD-45 tractor with mower
This is a good old tractor. Has a rebuilt starter, new cap and rotor, and the engine oil and filter have been changed. Has loader frame only, no loader and no 3pt. The tires are good, paint is faded, it fires right up, drives fine, hydraulics work and the 5ft mower works with no problems. It is a 60 year old tractor so it's not perfect. For whatever reason. Ebay is forcing me to choose a dollar amount on the shipping. I put $1000 but there is NO shipping on this tractor or mower, it's local pickup only. Also, do not use paypal. Allis Chalmers WD45 running tractor and WD parts tractor.
2 tractors for sale. One is a running and working WD45, the other is a WD tractor that has most parts with it minus the head. The WD45 has a serial# of 207472. Which is a year 1955. I believe this engine block may be out of a WD tractor because of the bolt on side cover to the engine. As far as I know the WD45 did not use the bolt on plate. The engine runs well and does not smoke at all. Does not pop out of any gear and the transmission and rear end do not make whining or unusual noises. It is the quietest I've ever heard on a tractor. Has a WORKING TRACTION BOOSTER GAUGE. Has both snap couplers. Has original lights. Rear tires are mismatched. One is a 14.9 x 28 the other is a 13.6 x 28. Both have decent tread. Have some weathering but hold air and work fine. The WD has a serial# of 123943. Which is a year 1952. Tractor has many good ... moreparts including the magneto. Lights, starter, belt pulley, hood, two nose pieces and a radiator. also has a loader frame attached with lift cylinders. If you have any questions or need additional pictures please let me know. NEW PARTS hot wico magneto Case SC DC Allis chalmers WC WD B C
PLEASE READ COMPLETE DESCRIPTION This auction is for a good working Wico model XH2500 magneto. It has a NEW rotor and NEW cap gasket with a nice used cap. I can see the timming mark clearly through the small window( see photo)It fires very well. It turns clockwise. The impulse drive was adjustable BUT someone has welded it in position so it is nolonger adjustable. see photo) The lag angle stop is still adjustable. I put this magneto on my Case SC( TRACTOR IS RUNNING IN PHOTOS) it worked well. But the timming was slow. I had to turn the magneto as far as the slotted holes would allow to make it work. It was still a little slow. This issue can be corrected by changing the lag angle. If I was going to use the magneto on my Case or Farmall tractor. I would change the lag angle on the magneto from 25 degrees to 15 degrees. Changing the lag angle ... morewould advance the timing and should make the magneto sit centered in the slotted mounting holes. On an Allis Chalmers tractor with 30 degree lag angle I would reset the mag to 20 degrees. This should solve the slow timming issue of the welded adjustment on the impulse coupling. new couplings are avaliable at about $40.00. The buyer can get a new one if he wishes and replace it himself. I will not replace the coupling. Pay to have it replaced or take returns on this magneto. I think I have made it very clear about the timming issue. if you have any questions ASK before you bid. And please ask early so I have time to reply before auction ends. The serial number is a little hard to read it is.966634. The spec number is XH2500. I will retest the magneto after it is sold and make sure everything is working before I ship. WD45, D17 Allis Chalmers Tractors You be the judge. Can be shipped UPS. But would have to be boxed and shipped individually. UPS has a weight limit of 150 pounds- one weight weighs 127 plus packaging. Can also be shipped freight- may be less expensive depending on your location.
