2009 Caterpillar 289C Track Skid Steer Loader Only 1910 Hr's Awesome CAT Machine
Great machine but much to my regret it has to go. I've used this machine for misc projects year round but mainly during the summer months doing landscape grading. It is also an amazing machine for tackling the largest snow storms. Last winter my brother took it to Norwalk CT where they had over 40" of snow and it didn't flinch! I've personally maintained it and was fully serviced less than 120 hours ago. The machine is solid and in very good condition. Everything works& tread has a decent amount of life left. There are some gouges and cuts in the tracks but nothing effecting the use of them. Sprockets and rollers are also fine. No blow by whatsoever. I should mention the bucket can accommodate teeth but I do not have them. This is honestly the best track loader I've ever operated. Caterpillar 247 tracked skid steer loader, john deere, bobcat
This is a very nice 2005 caterpillar 247b with 2100 hours. It has almost new tracks with less than 10 hours on them. It has a good undercarriage. Strong engine and hydraulics. Ive had this machine inspected by my mechanic and those were his opinions on the machine, not mine. This is a low houred unit for a 2005 and is sure to provide its new owner with many more years of service. It does have a small hydraulic leak. Sometimes it leaks and other times it doesn't. I had my mechanic look at it and he said it ran for 30 minutes and was unable to find the leak. I don't think its worth trying to spend money to fix or find it. I would just make sure your fluid is topped off every so often. I had this machine rented out for a few days to a local contractor and h wound up saying he was interested in buying it-hes just not quite ready to buy ... moreanother machine yet. It is a solid machine and its ready to go to work. I chose to sell Cat equipment because I think its the best. Their skid steers have the best hydraulic systems in my opinion. Cat 277 multi terrain loader for sale. 2004 model per serial guide book. Has factory cab with door and side glass. Factory heater as well. 3122 hours. Rough specs, 80hp, weighs a little over 9000 lbs and has a rated load of 2950lbs, auxiliary hydraulics.This is a machine capable of some serious work. Runs great and drives as is however, will need some undercarriage work, thats why the price is so right. Tracks are not the greatest but still holding well at this time. Some idlers have been replaced, others will need bearings at some point. Squirrel cage sprocket rollers are in great shape. cat 277 multi terrain loader. 2004 year with about 1500 hours. Great machine. Very powerful. great for snow removal, general construction/landscaping. Comes with standard bucket or 4 in 1 bucket available for just a little more. Tracks are in good shape with many more hours left on them(these are the original tracks! This machine is a power house. It can move heavy stone pallets all day. Will need some undercarriage work in the future, but is in very good shape with the low hours. Door. Heat, Self level, Joystick controls, Well maintained. 2004 Caterpillar Cat 287B Multi-Terrain Track Loader Skid Steer Compact
Elk Forest Farms. Inc. is pleased to offer a 2004 Caterpillar 287B multi-terrain loader. The machine is powered by a 4-cylinder turbo caterpillar engine. The engine starts easy and runs out well with no visible oil leaks or noises. The hyd. system on the machine works very well. The loader has brand new rubber tracks on it($3300) This machine also has aux. hyd. to the front for attachments. The machine has pilot controls. It has an enclosed cab with heat but no front door. I see some front doors here and there bring $600-$1200 used. The rest of the glass is intact with no cracks. The hour meter reads 78149 hours and this is due to the fact the meter keeps running. I have been told the issue is the voltage regulator in the alternator has a short in it supplying the power to the hour meter all the time. But if actual original hours is desired ... morethe Cat dealer can plug into the ECM control module and retrieve the actual running hours and reset the hour meter clock to reflect this. I bought he machine from a contractor who told me the machine has an estimated 2300-2600 hours on the machine right now. Also, you would have to rebuild the voltage regulator within the alternator to correct this problem. We installed a brand new battery in the machine and the machine does seem to charge. All dash lights do go out when the machine is in use. We used the machine around the yard here for a little over a month and it works excellent. I see no hyd.cylinder leaks.
