Scarce Original 1937 John Deere Plow Centennial Copper Sign
Up for auction tonight is a vintage 1937 John Deere Centennial copper sign. This copper sign was produced in 1937 in limited quantities to commemorate John Deeres 100th anniversary. This calendar has its original mailing envelope. The sign measures 8" high x 16" wide. Basically the sign is made up of two 8" diameter copper signs over cardboard. Has a metal connecting strip as well as the original chain for hanging on the back. All original as found I just wiped the dust off with a damp cloth. Has a small non detracting dent on the crimped edge of the copper sign can be seen in the 9th picture. See the photos for a better look they should show the condition better than I can describe. Old Western Snow Plow Electric Motor Hit Miss Gas Steam Tractor Magneto
This is an original electric motor from a Western snow plow. It is in good condition as can be seen with only one small crack in the back cover. I don't believe this will affect its performance. It has not been tested but has come from an old service garage where it has sat on the shelf for many years. It does turn over. These don't turn up very often so if you need one for a project. Then located in Racine, Wisconsin, manufactured this equipment. Case is acknowledged to have produced the first gasoline tractor. In 1972 Case purchased the David Brown tractor company. However, when the merger mania hit the farm machinery business, Case and International Harvester merged and created the brand Case IH. Finally, in 1999 Case IH merged with New Holland and created the CNH company that reported revenues of twenty-billion. The company still uses the Case brand today.
