Up for bids is a 5' 3pt Hitch Brush Hog. I cannot find a tag on it to identify the manufacturer. But looks like it could be a Woods or Brush Hog brand. It appears in decent overall condition. It does not have a stump jumper on the blades. Laminated solid tail wheel. The blades look in decent condition. The deck seem solid. With a little rust through on the deck frame support(see pictures) Has been repainted in the past. I have not had the time to hook it up to verify the gearbox condition. But it is free. Bush Hog GT42 Rough-Cut tow-behind mower in fair/good condition. Powered by a Honda GXV340 engine. Starts and runs well, no white exhaust smoke, but does surge alittle at idle. Has an electric start/charging system but no wire harness or switch. Starts with manual recoil, shuts off when Throttle cable pushed below idle. Blade, spindle bearings and spindle housing look and feel good, turn freely. Right side of deck has some small dents, wheel support looks alittle bent. Rear right side edge has been modified to help discharge heavy grass, deck has a 1.25" crack above area modified. Centrifugal engine clutch may need service, can feel some play back and fourth in drum bushing, blade turns at idle unless under load. Has new belt, good air filter and oil change. Draw bar and frame look good. Works best as trail/brush mower, not so good as ... morefinish mower.

Bush Hog 4' SQ480 Compact Tractor mower and John Deere green Ballast Box
I'm listing these for a relative. This is for a Bush Hog brand Squealer SQ480 4' bush hog. This is an actual bush hog brand and isn't some piece of junk you find at your local home farm center. The bush hog has very little use and was used with a small John Deere tractor around 20 HP. This would be great for a small compact tractor. Also. Included is ballast box that is painted john deere green. I'm not sure if this is a factory john deere part, since I couldn't find any markings on the ballast box, but it is in john deere green paint. I'll just sell it as a very high quality HEAVY DUTY aftermarket part. Both of these pieces of farm equipment have had little use and I guess to say the bush hog only has around 150 hours of useage. I would rate both an 8 out of 10 on cosmetic condition. I've even taken a pic of bottom ... moreof bush hog and you can see how little it has been used. It still has the orginal paint under the deck. It runs off a 540 rpm PTO. Gear box fluid was changed 4 hours ago. Has newer blades with no large nicks or marring at all. Not pristine but then this is a used mower.Someone did weld in gussets for support in different places but there are no weak spots.This mower does not have any bad rust like I've seen some have. Barn and garage kept as along as I and the previous owner had it. This is a used 15 Foot Bushhog brand finish mover that sold for over $14.000 new. It is in good condition but has several tires that need to be replaced from dry rot because the unit has be sitting in a barn for the last 5 years only being used once last summer. Auction is for a bush hog brand pull behind pto finish mower 11' wide. We used it for long while. Got it parked up since last summer. Only known problem is the bearing where it holds the pto shaft got shot. We were in the process of redesigning it so we can use pillow block bearing which allow us to re grease anytime. But ended sold the land and now have no need for it. Also you may need new blades for the upper and lower deck. If you are not familiar with this mower.
