A six splined slip shaft with good universal joints on both ends. It measures 27 1/2 inches from end to end. The spline ends measures 1 inch and 1 1/4 inch as per diagram. Two (2) 5' Brush Hog type rotary mowers 3 point hitch NO RESERVE
You are bidding on two(2) 5' Brush Hog type rotary mowers for a standard three point hitch. These machines are being auctioned AS IS. I cannot tell you what make either of these mowers are as I bought them both used and neither of them have any identifying marks. The yellow one MAY be a John Deere as it is that style but I can't sat for sure. The blue mower is the more heavy-duty of the pair. I used it to cut everything from grass to small trees. It is missing the hardware(stud and nut.available most anywhere) to attach one of the blades(I do have the blade) The yellow machine is of a lighter-duty construction. I used it to cut grass and light brush. It has several cracks in the deck that need to be welded. It also has a spring loaded clutch type thing where the shaft connects to the gearbox which prevents the tractor from stalling ... moreif you were to wack a big rock or something. Other than what I've mentioned both mowers are in good mechanical order; gearbox ok. Shaft ok, etc. I wish I had more pics but I do not. I operated both these machines with a Massey Ferguson 65, Massey Ferguson TO35, and a Massey Harris 22. No problems. Used in good condition 50-section unknown number of pages John Deere rotary cutter repair manual. It's over 1-inch thick from the dealer dated 1987. Deere didn't number the pages but broke it down into sections. Covers series 3. 6, 8, 9 brush hogs for models 403, 503, 506, 606, 509, 609, 709, 1008, 1408, 1418, 1508. Anything you'd want to know to repair these from specs. Driveline, clutch and shear device, gear case, blades, and frame. Flipping through it I didn't see any writing. Marks, rips, or tears. The front and back cover have a few smudges and there's a small light oil stain on the first few pages but nothing that interferes with reading.
