ZEISS Stemi Microscope With Stand & Lights Leitz Eyepieces
For your consideration a ZEISS Stemi 6.3X stereo microscope with dual lighted base. The microscope has two Leitz 6.3X 30mm eyepieces. Basically the deal with this scope is that there are two glass prisms under the hood that are glued on in one place each. One of the prisms had come loose and was re-glued on. But not exactly where it should be, which creates a double vision effect through the eye pieces. It needs to be taken off and glued on exactly where it should be to produce the correct image. There is a scratch on the plastic hood as pictured.The other thing I'll mention is that there is some cracking on the outer sheath of the wires for the lights. It could be a super deal for someone with some patience and time. I'll ship this to addresses within the lower 48 states only please.

It has a 5-step fixed magnification changer(0.6; 1; 1,6; 2,5; 4) and although t he base and stage is from a more current version of Zeiss microscopes than the head. All parts from the Zeiss SM I, II, 11 and IV are all 100% interchangeable. Cosmetically, this fine instrument may show the wear of years of use in a geochemistry lab, but it is in 100% working order. The optics are clear and sharp. The base/stage is outfitted for both reflected light and transmitted light. And it has an under stage mirror and two illuminator lamp socket holders, complete with the lamps. Zeiss West Germany CPL W 10x/ 18(with eyeglasses symbol) microscope eyepiece. Gorgeous optical coatings. Extremely high contrast and razor sharp images. This was from my father's medical microscope and he rarely used it(kept inside a glass case most of the time) Please note. These eyepieces can also be easily adapted to work with astronomical telescopes for high-end lunar and planetary observations. As an ultra high contrast eyepiece, these 10x eyepieces are on par with the best(approximately 25mm in focal length and O.D. of about 0.917" easily adapted for use with 0.965" and 1.25" equipment by adapting a plastic 35mm film canister to work as an adapter or similar techniques) I have found these to be exceptionally sharp. High contrast eyepieces on the moon, planets and deep sky objects- the increase in contrast and elimination ... moreof scattered light puts their performance well above that provided by most other eyepieces. Viewing galaxies and nebulae with this eyepiece was a delight, difficult to see wisps of nebulosity or fine details inside lunar craters would jump out against an inky black background. Another user who knows about microscopes and eyepieces tells me that these are either the 3-element aspheric design(exceptional planetary eyepieces- on par with the Astro-Physics eyepieces and very hard to find) or the Orthoscopic design. They outperform my friend's Pentax planetary eyepieces for sharpness and contrast. For more information: I don't know very much about microscopes. Items are in very good condition mechanically and cosmetically(I removed them from my own working scope) EXCEPT-the condenser focusing gear has a wear point outside the range used for focusing-however, when lowering the carrier to change condensers, it is sometimes necessary to push down on the carrier to pass the worn tooth-a minor issue, not involved with focusing use while viewing-I have priced the unit accordingly. Hi. This is an antique POWELL& LEALAND MONOCULAR MICROSCOPE with all the parts and accessories in the photographs. I know little about the subject so I do not know if this is complete or not so please study the many photos carefully before bidding. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have but please keep them simple. Apart from a very light dusting I have not attempted to clean any of the pieces. The microscope stands 16 inches in height in the position seen in the gallery photograph. The iron stand is a very dark green which is speckled with gold. The piece in the tobacco tin is made from glass. There is a tiny bone in the small round container. The leather carrying handle on top of the case is missing and the case itself could do with a polish. The lock is missing as well.
