Quadruple revolving nosepiece, plain mechanical stage, rack and pinion carrier for LUCIGEN Z illuminator. Course and fine adjustment knobs. Also includes a inclined binocular body. Included is the original wooden storage container. The storage container appears to be constructed of Walnut or some similar hardwood. The container is skillfully handcrafted and is designed to accomadate both the microscope and various accessories. With induvidual compartments for lens containers, etc. Acessories and spare parts include. Carl Zeiss Standard K Teaching and Laboratory Mircoscope operating instruction manual. Spare illuminator bulb in Zeiss tube container, spare knurled knob in Zeiss tube container. Two empty Zeiss ... moretube containers. Two of Zeiss lens caps of some type stored inside of two clear plastic containers, Zeiss plastic slip cover that fits over microscope. Also. 15 glass microscope slides and 0.13-0.17 cover glass microscope slides by Premiere. The glass sildes are unused. Pre-owned and used. No cracks on the optical glass lenses. The illuminator lights up when plugged in and turned on. The wooden storage container has some superficial cosmetic wear- scratches. Etc. The microscope appears to function as intended but as I know very little about this microscope or it's functions and have not used it personally I'm offering it in as is condition. And it was easier to hand deliver it than it was to pack it. I took this along and he showed me on the IMT-2. Which was equipped with a mercury burner ultraviolet lamp, how it was used. So for once I can say with a reasonable degree of confidence that it does work. However. The frame has been stripped The main slider that sits just over the objective turret and under the head has been removed(the covers are still here) The power supply is not working and there is no lamp house. The focus mechanism is good and works smooth in both fine and coarse adjustment. The optics within the limb are still there(Other than the main slider mentioned above) There are two centerable adjustments with rods on each side. There are three sliders with levers on each side that work but are stiff and gritty feeling. The optics connected to these levers and rods have not been removed but are in unknown condition. Made in Germany in 1902 This instrument is a binocular microscope or magnification viewer made in Germany by Carl Zeiss Jena in 1902. The microscope is quite well preserved: its black-enameled frame is in good condition and keeps all its original components and parts. The manufacturer’s name is engraved in different places. Both in the frame and the lenses. This article comes in its original mahogany wood case, with the original key, also signed and in very good condition. One of the eyepiece-holders located at the top of the instrument bears the serial number 66574 engraved in the metal. The other shows the engraved manufacturer’s logo with the inscription CARL ZEISS JENA. Actually. The manufacturer was Carl Zeiss and Jena is the name of the German city ... morewhere he founded his workshop. This happened in 1846 and from then on the firm grew to become one of the most flourishing optical manufacturers in Germany. After World War II and the division(and later reunification) of the country, the firm kept on working and is still present in Jena with some branches that manufacture microscopes and components. This item has mobile and adjustable parts that work smoothly and fluidly. Under the sample plate. The instrument has a detachable tray probably designed to close the hole that lets in the light reflected by the lower mirror. The device has also a graduated scale with two thongs, one at each side, designed to hold the items to be viewed. The microscope has several lenses and eyepieces that can be stored in their corresponding stands, attached to the case’s door. Inside the case we can also see a longitudinal wooden box with sliding lid that contains some accessories for the cleaning and maintenance of the instrument.
