This is an excellent condition. Zeiss transmitted light base with two frosted glass plates and original removable stage clips included, for the Zeiss Stereo Microscope Systems. The two frosted plates are mint, like new. The base fits the L and LO standard table stands. It can also be set under any other stereo microscope with the light directed down the back small covered clear glass opening. The light bounces off a couple of mirrors, one clear and one soft matt, internally and up through the stage plate. The base, as indicated, also comes with the two stage clips holding a slide if desired on either stage plate which are 84mm in diameter. The condition, as mentioned, is excellent. This Laboval 4 scope is clean. Functions as designed, has factory complement of objective lenses and new bulb plus two new spares. It does have a cover.it has"yellowed" but I will include it as well. It is in better condition than the scope that I use daily, but I am used to what I have been using. I will sell as is, because I do not have time to be fiddling with returns and the like. I tried to take enough photos so you can make your own determination on the condition. Last two photos are of each of the occular lenses. I did wrap a few turns of vinyl tape at the base of the power cord because of a 3/4 inch split in the outer insulation. I assume that split is a result of the cord being at an angle to the base during use. There is absolutely no issues with powering on.it functions as designed. I looked at a slide with each objective ... moreand each provided a crisp clear image. All seemed shipshape to me, but, again, I will sell"as is" to avoid pain and suffering. I Purchased this microscope several years ago at a local college university auction to assist me with the diagnosis and treatment of issues relating to salt water aquarium fish and Japanese koi. Here is my official disclaimer! To the very best of my knowledge every function of this microscope works as intended. When I focus in on a fish scale I can see it! It comes complete with its original wooden storage box which is in excellent condition other than a couple of cosmetic scratches.
