A schematic Eye Viewer for Teaching Ophthalmology, a complete Phoropter, 2 Eye Exam Optemetrist Flashlight Retisnoscopes, and a Medical Ophthalmologic Eyeglass and Lens Fitting Set. Part 1: The 2 Genothalmic Refractors include 1 DeZeng model No. 3824 and another DeZeng one. I cannot find a model number on it. It is metal and brass and engraved with DeZeng Standard Co Makers Camden. NJ. The tiny level on the instrument was made by Stanley Co. New Britain CT. It has 4 layers of rotating lenses for right and left to permit te eye to be examined at different depths and magnifications. Flip down and out lenses-these seem to function well. Onew of the 4 layers is empty with a receptacle for different lenses. This comes with the original iron stand. It was ... moremade in Camden, NJ. I do not k now the exact age of these pieces but they appear to be from the turn of the century or early 1900's. The stand is adjustable for height and length of the horizontal arm. I do not know exactly how this device operates and do not know if any parts are missing or if it is all functional. Stand is adjustable from 35" 47" tall, arm is up to 17" long, and the base is about 21" across. Part 2: Dezeng Schematic Eye Viewer for Teaching Opthalmology. This piece is blackened brass barrel shaped viewer with a lens and inner dial with 5 szs of pupil in lieu of a diaphragm. A retina simulation disc can be put in the viewer and a student with an ophthalmoscope can look inside the viewer as if looking into the eye. One such disc is included. The brass viewer is marked DeZeng Standard Co. Camden NJ Makers. Henry Lawrence DeZeng started this company at the turn of the 20th century. Part 3: An all original antique F. A. Phoropter Leica in decent shape needs a couple pieces
This listing is a Leica Phoropter. Used but in decent condition. In pretty good cosmetic condition. All lenses appear to be in tact and move when the according knobs are turned. In decent shape, missing two knobs(one at the top and one above the Lombart tag; the piece that the knob turns is there though) and a guard on the back I believe. Also I think it is missing a bar on the front that goes up, and some of the screws are a little rusty, but that can most likely be easily fixed, but all other knobs are present and functional. And a few light scratches on the body from use. I honestly don't know much about this thing at all. I can give the best description I can through eBay. It is in working order as far as I can tell from testing it. This piece of equipment hasn't been used in a while so it more than likely needs to be calibrated ... moreand whatever else. B&L Green's Phoroptor Phoropter Refractor Minus Cyl by O.D.
I am selling this Green's phoropter out of my optometry practice. Unlike most of the Green's phoroptors that you see for sale from estate liquidation sales and etc. This instrument was actually in daily use in an overflow exam lane to over-refract CL patients in our practice up until maybe five years ago. The gentleman that I worked with and eventually purchased the practice from took very meticulous care of all of his equipment, and this phoropter is in very good overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. The sphere and cyl wheels turn smoothly, as well as the Risley prisms, and the lenses are very clean for the most part. The JCC axis clicks into place and operates smoothly. White knobs move disk inside with holes of varying size. from tiny pinprick to full size of vision hole. The chrome notched dials(2 on each side) rotate more lens disks inside. The SIX outside lenses move smoothly to position any one over the vision hole. There are NO broken. Cracked or chipped lenses. Except for slight dust in the crevices, it is very clean. Vintage 1930's Industrial Optometry Feldman Adaptometer Optical Not Phoropter
Vintage Original 1938 Feldman Adaptometer Device. Manufactured in the United States by the Spencer Lens Company, the Scientific Instruments Division of the American Optical Company, f or determining the presence of night blindness. It carries a serial number D1211 and a model number 1575. It measures 17.0 inches tall. The viewing component is slightly loose. The metal plate protecting the plug is also slightly loose, almost no cosmetic damage, one scuff on the base, several cracks and scratches on the base. The original wire is cracked and flaking and should be replaced before using the device. So not to damage the internal elements of the adaptometer. I have not tried to turn it on. I want to leave that task to someone more familiar with antique medical equipment.
