This is a good used Welch Allyn Otoscope number 25020A and includes a rechargeable battery. The scope is in very good condition and it works. The light is bright so when I turned it on after charging it for 30 minutes it blinded me. I didn't think it would be that bright. Note to self, don't shine otoscope in your own eyes anymore. I left the light on for about 5 minutes and it didn't seem to dim so I would assume the battery is holding a charge decent. I don't know how long it should last on a full charge or how long a full charge should take but if someone gives me this info I would be happy to check it out to see how long it actually holds the charge while the light is on. This set belonged to my father who was a pediatrition and retired over 40 years years ago. I found this in storage 2 years ago and replaced the battery and it works fine. Battery is rechargable. The charger is in the handle. I don't know exactly how old this set is. The# on the Ohthalmoscope is 25000. and the# on the Otoscope is 11600 if that helps at all. There is a small cylindar approx 1 inch long taped to the top of the case. Don't know what it is for but apparently it goes with the set.

Hello up for auction Vintage Otoscope and ophthalmoscope. Located in its original wooden box covered in velvet inside. Instrument is metal and plastic. Runs on(2) D batteries( NOT included) Item is in used condition but still in very good condition. I'm not 100% on how it works. I did however installed(2) D batteries and a light came on.
