Here is another one of my"semi-homemade" indirect ophthalmoscopes. The head is a frigitronics and is in excellent condition. I retrofitted it with an LED light source and portable power supply with charger. The battery life on this thing is incredible. I used it in my office and put the power source in my pocket and walked from room to room doing exams. Worked quite well in that situation. Would make a great BIO for mission trips or in the office as a portable.

Vintage Welch Allyn Otoscope and Ophthalmoscope Diagnostic Set This is a vintage medical collectible. Not for use, and not in working order. Please see photos for additional information on condition. This set was purchased from a storage unit sale. The case zips well but does have some dings. I have not cleaned or altered the item in any way, I will leave that to whom can do it properly. From my untrained eye, everything seems to be in great physical condition. Included is the lamp replacement instructions. Operating instructions for the otoscope, and information about nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries. At this point the item will not function. I am not sure if the battery is no longer good or if the bulbs are burnt out of the otoscope/ophthalmoscope. The ophthalmoscope is catalog number 11600. Antique Dr. Liebreich's Ophthalmoscope. The case is worn with some wear and tear but the hinges are still good and it is still in one piece. One of the large magnifying lenses is missing and the other is chipped. The five smaller glass pieces intact with some minor chips. No cracks. The ophthalmoscope glass mirror is intact without cracks or chips and a good mirror finish. Hello! This is a used ophthalmoscope. It's battery powered(thus portable) And seems to work just fine, with little to no signs of wear that I can tell(I am not a regular user of this instrument however, this item belonged to a physician and watch collector and is from his estate sale) The head is removable, the bulb works, all parts seem to be functioning just fine. I have not tried to observe a person's fundus with it: It is an unknown brand(I'm thinking it was part of a kit) Ships to lower 48 US states only via USPS. Paypal only, no returns.
