LEICA E60 P-CIR 13406 The filter is in good condition. There are some very minor marks on the glass, they are very small(millimetres in size) and very faint. You have to angle it right at the light for them to show. They look like cleaning marks that are stuck on but i can safely say they have no impact on the image. In the original case, there are 3 small metal canisters, which are empty. I have no idea what they were used for, but they are included as well. There is a small square device with a plug- I am assuming this is some kind of light module, but not certain. When I plugged it in, it did not come on, so if it is a light module, the bulb is probably burned out. Also, on one side of this device someone used liquid paper to write"MEM. HOSP. on it. Comes in original carrying case with 5 sample canisters, slide case with several slides(some prepared, some blank) and four eyedroppers of various sizes(the rubber tops are not much use anymore, but the droppers are in working order) The case is faux alligator with a leather handle. The handle is not in the best shape, but other than a few worn corners the case itself is in good condition. Leica (Leitz Wetzlar) Summaron F 2.8 35mm Lens 1962 s/n 1923893. good condition
This lens has been informally inspected by a Leica dealer who considered it to be in need of a clean and a service. It has been used in conjunction with a Leica M5 and M3. The lens is designed so that the additional viewfinders of this lens line up with those on the camera body. It will be compatible with other bodies but please check with the manufacturer of you intend to use it with other bodies. Overall the larger viewfinder image is clear but there is a scratch and a small(2-3mm) area of what may be mould within it which though just visible to the naked eye do not show when you look through the viewfinder. The smaller round viewfinder has some dirt around the edge on the inner surface. The operation of the aperture ring is free. The ring slightly extends beyond F22 and continues to close the aperture accordingly. The aperture leaves appear ... moreclean and free of mould or oil to the naked eye and on inspection with an illuminated sensor loupe. The focus ring is a little stiffer than it should be. The locking mechanism is working fine. The glass is clear and unmarked. Some dust is present on the inner open compartment in the back of the lens. I cannot guarantee that there will be no dust within the glass for a lens of this age but it is not apparent. The black body has one or two very minor dents and slows a little wear on one corner(see pic s 7 and 8) The are several scratches on the leading edge of the round viewfinder(see pic 10) The lens cap has a dent(see pic 11) I have attempted to show the true condition of the camera though the photographs and description. I have slightly over-sharpened the images to exaggerate slightly any marks or imperfections. I am not a dealer so these comments are my personal description of the cameras condition. NB THIS IS AN R SERIES LENS MADE IN CANADA. The serial number is 2943417 I have had this lens informally inspected by a Leica dealer who described it as excellent. No faults or significant defects were found. The focus action is smooth. The aperture ring moves freely across the whole aperture range. The aperture leaves are clean with no marking on them and no trace of oil(see pics 5 and 6) The glass is clean and I can see no sign of mould internally or significant dust. Though some dust is likely to be present in a used lens of this age. I can see no scratches on front or rear glass. The external body is clean and the paintwork is in good condition. Some paintwork wear is apparent on the aperture ring and around the F stop readings. Also on the focus distance(see pics 2 and 3) The lens is fitted with a front and rear lens cap. These are unmarked ... moreand carry no brand label so may not be Leica caps. The lens hood extends and retracts smoothly. Leitz Leica Focoslide w/ 5x Magnifier This model of the Focoslide was made in Germany and features the later H Clip as pictured above. It is used in conjunction with the M1. M2 or M3 to make close-up/macro photographs or critical copy work. The unit is used but in great condition and is fully working. There are no dents, dings and few signs of finish loss present. The top half slides across easily with enough tension to keep it from moving too fast. The focusing screen in clean with minimal dust/marks on it, certainly nothing that would affect focusing or viewing. The 5x magnifier is also in nice shape with clean optics. There appears to be an ever so slight haze inside near the bottom element but this also does not affect image viewing, and certainly not image quality as it is for focusing only. Horseshoe base of this biobjective instrument is 4.8" x 4.3" The 3.3" high pillar has a fitting at the front for the 4.8" x 3.5" swivelling plane mirror.The 5.5" x 4.4" stage plate. Incurved at the back, has a 4 inch square glass plate that slides into grooves. It has a handle- type limb 4" long. The limb is removable from the base via a twist-off connection The binocular tubes are adjustable and have a rack and pinion course adjustment. The tube assembly fits to the limb through a jibbed connection. When closed it is 13" high and is signed: E. Leitz, Westlar, Germany' This type of microscope was invented about 1895 ... moreby Greenough, an American living in Paris' The binocular head and optics fit in an original case which in turn fits into the finely crafted custom fitted case. The main case is mahogany,10" wide x 7.7" deep x 10.5" high with brass bail, lock and key. The fitted, light finished birch( accessory box is 8.8" wide x 6" deep x 4.3" high and contains the binocular head, 3 sets of matched oculars marked: a5, a10 and a15. Up for auction is this fine old Betz Microscope which is circa 1910. I believe it was made in Chicago. The markings on the instrument include: ERNST LEITZ WETZLAR& BETZ 2064. Stands 16 1/2" tall fully extended. Weighs 11 pounds and with the case is 17 pounds. Case locks and has the key. All the moving parts of this microscope move freely and function as intended. Interesting adjustable"grid" The mirror silvering is old. There is an opening- closing reticle type device underneath. Like a camera lens. Extras include a 4MM lens. A big convex lens on one side that is flat on the other. A lens labeled GMO Co. 3X, a big convex lens with no metal mounting, 3 empty cylinders. 2 circular spoked wheels and a partial b ox of No. 2 7/8" micro-cover glasses.
