Antique silver plated water urn and or samovar in a very ornate form and design. Very heavy and beautiful form that is somewhat English looking with curves and design that one would encounter in olden days. The piece has had repair and that can be seen on the interior. Some silver plate is worn off and there is need to polish and refurbish to as close to original as possible. The handles are wooden and one handle has a screw missing on one end. The lid has been repaired with some work done not of the highest quality. There is wear on the plating on the lid. Pretty little oblong hot food plate from Lenox has a metal backing to keep your food hot. This plate measures 9 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches across and weighs 1 pound. 3 ounces with the base. It has the Lenox mark on the bottom of the china plate. The plate looks like it was glued to the metal base at one time. The china plate has the slightest of wear marks and no chips. Flea bites, fractures or crazing. See photos for more.

Vintage FRY OVEN GLASS HOT PLATE TRIVET Early 20th C Opalescent Kitchenware Up for bid is an antique oven glass hot plate/trivet made at the H. C. Fry Glass Co. in Rochester. Pa. It is from their opalescent kitchen glass line that was popular in the 1920s. Perhaps designed for use with a casserole. Fry Glass was active from 1901 to circa 1933. They produced some of the finest quality glassware and were known worldwide. They were perhaps known most for this patented opalescent line of oven glass. The underside is marked: FRY'S HEAT RESISTING GLASS. Piece measures approx 8" across; it sits on three round feet. The rim is approx 1" from table surface. Condition: It is without chips or cracks. When examining the piece closely one can find some roughness. Formed by tiny ... morenicks, along some of the edge. I have shown this in the last photo close-up. I think the photo actually accentuates the wear and makes it more noticeable visually than it is in person. An unusual piece! Perhaps a nice find for collectors.
