I purchased this camera to take pictures of coins. I sell mostly coins. The camera is super easy to dial in. And to use. I did not use the small stand included. I jerry-rigged an old video camera tri-pod to hold the camera over my coins. You can use the red button on top of the camera to take pics. Or you can use your computer's mouse to take a picture. I used the mouse, as when pushing the camera's button. I would often blur the photo, as invariably I would move the camera. It is an easy, peasy, method to take quick. But not museum quality photos of small things. I found that it was not well suited for coin detail. I am using a Nikon. With MACRO. Now. A huge difference. I used this camera not more than 4 months. It was not abused, nor damaged in any way. Everything that orig came with it is included. Even the orig black twist tie ... morefor the USB cable. The focus is fussy. And another reason to use your computer's mouse to take photos once you have positioned your subject and zero'd in on the focus.
