This delightful vintage pottery beaker was manufactured to commemorate the coronation of King George V& Queen Mary. Which took place on 22nd June 1911, the beaker is illustrated with portraits to one side& on the reverse side it is decorated crossed flags one of the Union Jack& the other of the Royal Standard the beakers is enhanced with gold detailing to the top rim. 10.5cm High X 7.5cm top rim diameter in excellent condition with no chips. The beaker features the official design of the British pottery manufacturers association with the gold style image of the monarch whilst the cup has a photo image of the King& Queen. Condition wise they have the usual wear commensurate with age moreso around the rims plus the beaker has slight blemish on the image from production. Tinplate Enamel Beaker Coronation King George V 1911
Tinplate and enamel beaker celebrating the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. The beaker is heavily decorated in gold and colours with portraits of the King and Queen. Foliage, flowers and scrolls. The numerals 1911 in red are surmounted by a portrait of the Prince of Wales(later to become King Edward VIII) in uniform. There are gold bands to the top and bottom and around the rim. There are some nibbles to the rim. The beaker is three and three quarter inches high; three inches inches in diameter at the top rim. Due to a relocation from the UK our collection is being sold off. Watch out for other items. Nearly everything we sell is antique or'vintage' and in secondhand condition so will have the signs of use- a touch of dust or surface dirt. The only example of this extremely rare bas relief porcelain beaker we have seen. It was made in 1897 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria.By that time the popular Queen had ruled England for sixty years. The relief decoration features a head and shoulders portrait of Queen Victoria as she is best remembered with the Diamond Jubilee dates 1837- 1897. Encircling the beaker above the portrait is a string of relief flowers of The Union and the inscription"Victoria Commemoration" The beaker is 4" 100mm tall.It is in very good condition without any chips,cracks or repairs the only imperfection being a manufacturing fault of a small area of glaze missing on the rim. Sigma the Tastesetter Muppets Ceramic Cannister with Lid Bunsen and Beaker TV
You are looking at a Muppets cannister with lid by Sigma the Tastesetter. Cannister is in the shape of a TV and features Bunsen and Beaker. Doing one of their crazy experiments. This impossible to find item is in very good condition and so adorable! Flaws are as follows: some small chips on Bunsen's glasses, a small manufacturing flaw(looks like small dents about 1/4" long, and glazed over) on the left side under Beaker, and two short craze lines on the lid. All of these should be visible in the pictures above. I am being VERY picky; these are very minor flaws and overall it looks great. Bottom reads"Sigma the Tastesetter(c) Henson Assoc.
