Old Original International Harvester IHC Corn King Manure Spreader Wood Ruler
This is a real nice original and extremely hard to find advertising ruler from the International Harvester Company for their Corn King manure spreader. It is from about 1910 and measures about 7/8 x 6 5/8 inches. It unfolds to 36 inches long and is in excellent condition with minor overall wear from it's years of service. The only blemish I can find is that one of the leaves has a slight crack in the wood. This could easily be repaired with a little wood glue but is fine just the way it is and is hard to notice. This would be a great addition to your IHC memoribilia collection or display as it is very appealing to the eye! I don't think there's too many of these left to be found in original country estates anymore as too many of them found their way to the woodstove! The zipper has pulled away from one end of the case. You can still zipper closed but only 1 direction. One of the legs as some slight slippage starting on the 2nd stage. I used a piece of grip tape so it wouldn't move. I had this tripod and head tuned-up professionally by Vinten a couple years ago and it should probably be done again. There are a couple of pins. This first pin is 3/16” wide by 1 1/8” long. It is made out of brass metal with blue designs in the background and a rhinestone in the center. The second item is a stick pin in gold tone metal with an oval blue stone inset. The stone could be possibly acrylic. The oval stone is ½” long by 3/8” wide. The stick pin part is 2 ¼” long. The next items are on the original card. There are 4 SIMPLICITY Lace Collar Spreaders. It states TOPS PULL OUT NO SCREWS TO GET OUT OF ORDER PAT. NOV. 6, 1906. On the back side on the bars they have the same date. The next 3 items are also on the original card. Anti Gopher Spreader / Injector Implement - One Qwner
This is another colorful and useful piece of equipment that still funtions as it did decades ago. The man identifying the piece told me that he remembered using it to poison gophers. They put the treatment liquid in the hopper and pulled it first with a mule then with tractor. The disc opened a trench. Liquid was inserted and the big back roller covered the trench. I could not find any damage to the piece nor serious rust issues. It is on a high land farm in northeast TX. It is strong with very little rust. I do not think it is frozen up but did not hook it up to a tractor- did turn wheels by hand. I am selling these tractors and their equipment for friends and going by their input for condition beyond the obvious.
