Hi there. Up for auction is a really nice Landpride 48" slice seeder. This unit was used very little and not at all the past two years. This is the perfect size in my opinion, does require a tractor that is 25-60 HP. This unit has always been stored indoors. It had a little surface rust that was sanded and painted, with some new decals. It does come with the pto shaft. The right side wheel sits at a slight angle for some reason, but does not affect the way it operates at all. I try to describe all of my items the way I would want someone to do for me, including all the imperfections/issues. This is a used unit that will have scratches and some light rust here and there. It has a vise clamp at the bottom for attaching it to the table or counter, then it arcs up so that it would spill out over a bowl I would imagine. The grinding teeth are actually 12 thin toothed wheels space evenly apart by a metal disc yet they all can move individually, the rubber wheel in front is quite worn, stiff and cracked, but then I do not imagine you plan on actually using this to grind your raisins. I believe this was made by the Ames Plow Co Boston Ma. I had one very similar a few mon ths ag o- see last picture) This seeder is VERY RARE and VERY UNIQUE. If you are a collector this would be a great item to put in your collection. It appears to work. But I did not seed with it. Everything turns freely. There are no breaks on the seeder. The handles will not be shipped with the seeder( they are to far gone) There is rust and pitting on the seeder. But is has many years of service left. The seeder will be delivered dis-assembled. PLANET JR No. 25 #25 SEEDER ANTIQUE FARM EQUIPMENT VINTAGE WITH ORIGINAL CRATE
Up for auction is a beautiful unmolested. Un-restored original example of a Planet Jr No 25 seeder from 1904 as original as you may ever find. Even the crate is in excellent condition for its age. There is some small worm holing on the sides but the crate is solid considering it is almost 110 years old. The only thing that this unit does not have is the front drive wheel and the two wood handles to push it with. There are several wheels and handles on EBAY right now if you search Planet Jr. It seems in good working order all the parts move just could use a light oiling but other than that this is a nice piece suitable for display in museum or private collection. The two leather hinges on the top cover are deteriorated and could easily be replaced with two new leather pieces. In one on the pictures I am holding up the lid with the piece of ... morestring held in place that probably used to hold the lid open. It is just disconnected from it's mounting point and easily attached. The top cover has a very slight cup to it but otherwise is in real nice shape. As you can see the original owner put his name, address and date on the lid. No sure if he was proud of it or if he loaned it out but it is nice to be able to trace its origin and probably date of purchase. Or maybe it was a gift from someone to this man. A mystery to us all I guess since everyone is long gone by now. This is a real survivor and by the looks of it well taken care of or hardly used. It has a Planet Jr wrench, a marker bar, three star wheels 4" 6" and 8" for seed spacing, a couple other parts and the envelope has a couple nuts and stuff inside. On the envelope the original printing lists the small hardware and what it is used for. The writing on the box is still easy to see. Planet JR's SAVE WORK, MONEY FOR FARM, GARDEN. Sitrex FS500 Broadcast Spreader and Fertilizer This spreader is considered"used" but was only used on three times. While I used it infrequently for your big jobs it is worth it weight in gold! This spreader and fertilizer is driven by a tractor PTO and uses a three-point hitch to mount to the back of a tractor. The spreader has a single piece steel hopper. An internally mounted agitator helps keep material in the hopper from bridging(see picture from manufacturers brochure) This ensures a continuous hopper flow and uniform delivery rate. The spreader allows for an adjustable pattern. Only to the right, only to the left or evenly right and left(see picture from manufacturers brochure) This is accomplished by adjustable vanes on a rotary plate at the bottom of the hopper. The flow out of the hopper is controlled by a handle that adjusts ... moreand can later be locked into place. The hopper on the spreader is sized at a maximum load of over 900lbs. The hopper is approximately 47 inches wide at the top for easy loading. The overall height of the spreader is 46 inches. The drive line has a 1 3/8” connection. The spreader is designed to operate with the tractor at 540 rpm. Your tractor needs to be of sufficient size to support the loaded speader in the rear and drive the spreader. Worksaver ATV broadcast seeder spreader. ATVK-400. Electric. 12 vdc. http:www.worksaver.com/product/ss-atv.html I bought this 3 or 4 years ago. Its cost at that time was $330. Plus tax. It had about 8 bags of fertilizer run through it then before it was cleaned up and put back on the shelf, boxed. I finally got it out and used it again this Spring for another 8 bags before it was cleaned up and boxed away again. It's total run time is less than 2 hours. What you see is what you get. I added an electrical harness extension and a conduit handle extension to what this originally came with. I plugged the spreader into a light connection and used the lights fuse and switch but you might have to do something different. I also made up a hitch receiver piece so the spreader can be used mounted in a standard 2-inch receiver hitch. As pictured ... moreon the Cub Cadet. The first 6 photos are what you get. The next to last photo only shows the spreader mounted on the tractor. The last photo I grabbed off the Worksaver website to show the thing mounted on an ATV as intended. Planet. Jr. Double Wheel Hand Cultivator Seeder with 2 Sweep Blades Planet. Jr. Double Wheel Hand Cultivator Seeder with 2 Sweep Blades The wheels are 14" diameter by 1 1/4" wide. Embossed on the hub is D76. The connecting arm is 10" long. One of which is stamped 4147( There is a right& left base mount which are 14" long by 5 1/2" wide. Stamped on the hoop is Planet, Jr. The sweep knife blades brackets are embossed S100& S101. One sweep knife blade is stamped Planet, Jr. 4061. It is rusty with pitting. Wheels turn freely. Some areas are painted black but I can't tell if it is intentional or some overspray. The sweep knife blades are rusted& pitted with very worn blade edge.
