This is a nice. Handpainted Chinese cobalt blue and white rectangular planter/flower pot in very good condition. The corners are rounded and indented. It is decorated with a pagoda on the sides and flowers on the ends. The top has a scalloped rim. The pot measures 9" long by 4" tall. It is unglazed inside and has no stains. This TV Lamp stands approximately 6 inches tall and is about 11 inches wide. It is in a semi-circular shape and sits in a metal base. The planter section is about 5 inches deep. I will ship without the bulb. I took the photo to show that it works. I could not find any information on the Castro Manufacturing Company, but my estimate is that this lamp is from the 1950's or 1960's.

These striking 1950's TV lamp/planters depict. In high relief, graceful deer running or leaping through foliage, finished in a rich green glaze. We have one TV Light that is complete with socket and bulb, it's marked with an under glaze"V" The socket and bulb appear to be in good condition and are working. The other TV Lamp is marked with either a"p" or"d" These TV Lamps measure 10" in length and 4" in width and are 4.5" tall. TV lamps were to be used while the television was ON to defuse the light and reduce eye strain caused by the television's bright light. These will be wonderful nightlights ... moreor desk lamps. The"planters" could be used for paperclips and such. Both are in excellent condition and will be prized additions to a vintage TV lamp collection. Sincere appreciation goes to"TVLamps" for the following Lane& Company history. The California manufacturer Lane and Co. was one of the most important makers of TV lamps, and are renowned for their great production volume and varied styles. They displayed a fierce creativity, which resulted in many extravagant and unusual designs. But oddly enough, little is known about the history of this manufacturer. Lane& Co. was originally located in Los Angeles, moving to 14660 Arminta St. Van Nuys in the early 50's. Most pieces indicate Van Nuys as their place of origin, but the panther TV lamp, dated 1953, is marked L.A. Calif. The oldest date I've seen on a Lane product is 1950, with some of the early pieces marked Nickerson. Undoubtedly a designer in the early years, the Nickerson marking does not appear on TV lamps. Vintage German Ceramic Pigs at a Trough Planter (by Gluck?)
This is so adorable- I' m sorry I'm not a better photographer so you could see the details. On the front of the trough it says"Feine Familie" And on the little broken piec e at the top left I think it says Gluck. Because of the way it is made. The broken piece is not very noticeable. At the widest point it is 4 3/4" and it is 3 1/2" high. From front to back it is approx. 3 3/4" It has little gol d(painted? pieces that are supposed to be nails all over the front. Up for sale is a small vintage tulip decorated dutch shoe planter recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good to very good used condition, and although unsigned, it appears to have been done by McCoy. It features a single right shoe in the form of a dutch wood shoe. The primary color is blue. It measures approximately 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" in size. The only condition issue to report is some roughness by the toe. Best seen in photo#5. Very decorative as a planter or to hold pens on anything else you can think of. The planter opening measures approximately 2" x 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" in size. VERY sharp looking belt buckle! About 2 1/2" H x 3 1/8" As you can see it has MAX EMERGE 2 PLANTER which is all raised, and that gives it sort of a 3D kind of look. The back is marked C 1987 John Deere& Company Moline, Illinois. It has a nice weight to it too, a little over 5 ounces. It came in the plastic bag that you see in one of the pictures of it, the plastic bag with John Deere on it has a little wear but the buckle doesn't! Its minty, the only tiny spot I see is on the number 2, and I am very sure that is a factory spot, no bigger than a pin head and hardly worth mentioning!
