Vermont Maple Sugar and Syrup(Including Delicious Maple Recipes) is a 24 page. 4 X 7 1/4 inch softcover booklet with a wraparound photo illustrated cover by John Lovely. The publisher is the Vermont Department of Agriculture and the Vermont Development Commission, Montpelier, Vermont. The first page of the booklet states"Revised January 1954. The booklet includes a page of information on the laws(amended April 21. 1953) associated with maple sugar labeling, advertising, grading, etc. and 12 pages of information about syrup production, with details about grading, sap flow, sugar making, the sugar maple and more. There is also a short page of stats on syrup production in 10 states for the years 1939 to 1948. The introductory information is followed by about 35 recipes that include maple sugar or syrup. Illustrated with black and white ... morephotos. The booklet is in very good condition; the two-staple binding is tight with mild rusting of the staples but no bleed. The interior pages have no toning. Tears, writing, stains or soil. Fantastic Kuchar's Maple Syrup Mont Tremblant Canada Vase Hand Painted Porcelain
Nice piece of Canadian history here. Joseph Kuchar was quite a character. He raised horses, manufactured chemicals and tapped maple trees. Do a google search for his obituary. Vase is very fine, hand painted China, with makers mark on the bottom as shown. Measures only 4-1/2" tall, it's small for maple syrup but one might assume it was possibly used at a resturant or resort nearby, and refilled as needed. I do see a slight bit of paint missing on the birds tail, but not bad. Overall it's a splendid object worthy of your collection. Thanks for lookin' and good luck biddin'

This is an adorable little pottery jug that held maple syrup. Lettering is in gold so was hard to photograph! Back says Pure maple syrup net 2 fl. oz. and the front says"Mountain Meadow Farms New Baltimore PA" The jug has its original cork. And is in fine shape with no damage. The bottom is marked Paden City Artware W. VA. Very nice piece of advertising! The jug is 3" high to the top of the cork, a bit under 2" in diameter at the bottom!
