Vintage Exxon Refinery Workers Safety Hard Hat. Multiple Decals, MSA, NR. This came from a local estate. The man had pride in his work. And kept his hard hat in a safe place many years after he'd retired. The decals include Exxon'87 Turnaround, the Baytown Lubes Project, and the Dimersol Project in Benicia California back in the mid 1980's. The hat shows some wear and tear, nothing bad, and is still in excellent shape! I used to have a 7 day return policy. This was not adequate for ebay. Who feels I either list items with a full TWO week return policy, or don't take returns at all. Ebay has been dictating how I should sell, quite a bit over the past few years. I'm hoping my past selling history will speak for itself, because I will no longer have a return policy. I believe I have included enough photos for serious collectors to date it and to tell if this is one you want in your collection. It is certainly in nice condition and bears a lot of decals. I believe the clip on the front is to hold a Miners lamp and I am not sure what the purpose of the bottle attached on the back of the helmet is for but no doubt some kind of safety precaution or preparation. Also. there is a leather keeper strap on the back who's purpose I am unaware of but it looks to be a factory addition? The decals suggest it was used in either the oilfield or oilshale industry rather than mining but you can be the judge. No cracks or chips. The only thing I would mention is that the hardhat liner is missing ... morethe ear warmers that zip around and attach to it. For your consideration is a vintage US Government aluminum hard hat by McDonald. Bullard's"Hard Boiled" competitor. The piece is in good clean used condition banded ALUMINUM HARD HAT with liner from the estate of retired US Government safety inspectors, bureau of mines and the ASFS circa 1969-1970s. Marked"US GOVERNMENT" on the outside and"McDONALD" T" CAP-STANDARD" MINE SAFETY APPLIANCES CO. on the underside of the brim. Comes complete with original MSA adjustable plastic liner. Two original partial stickers inside back, an ANSI specifications and MSA label. This one is used and does show it, but still a nice collector's item. Measurements: Outside lip 11-1/4" by 8-1/2 and stands approximately 5-1/2" tall. Condition: Used good. Exterior has a freckling of age spots and a few small ... moredings and scratches in keeping of age. A little sticker residue on the outside. The interior webbing and lining is in good shape. This auction features a very nice Mine Safety Appliances Company(MSA) McDonald T Aluminum Hard Hat. The hat has been factory painted a light gray/silver/green color on the outside surface. And the inside is the natural aluminum color. The hat's sticker has patents listed up through 1963. The liner adjusts from 6-3/4" up to 7-5/8" This hard hat is in great shape. With some light scratching and one small ding on top, all indicative of use on the job. The liner is in wonderful condition, is fully functional, and appears to be all original. The hat still retains its original MSA sticker on the inside back, which states compliance with the US Dept. of Agriculture 1959 Forest Service Specification, and it is in great condition. Hello and welcome Vintage Bethlehem Steel Hard Hat Helmet In original condition with original stickers with a Bonus: extra new suspension liner. As you can see from the pictures it is in used condition. Scuffs-scratches-dirt-stickers-wear to the front paint. It does have some really great vintage stickers with bright colors and in good condition. I see no cracks or breaks to the helmet. Nice vintage patina. Vintage MSA headband suspension hard hat milling,utility, 20 year saftey sticker
A nice vintage hard hat with a 20 year accident sticker on it and the persons name on red sticker. I am not sure of the age. Has a DM on inside top but the sticker is wore off. The inside headband suspension(6 1/2-7 3/4) is in nice shape and has MSA on it. No rips or breaks. The helmit has#3 bloomer mill and#4 slabbing mill on stickers. Photos show condition and small chip on brim. Nice vintage piece.

Kanas with ID Cards, Tags and Clip. Items are as followed one hard hat, one brass ID tag, 3 refinery ID cards and one photo clip tag. The hat has the gentleman's nickname on front TOAD. THIS IS A RARE FIND. STILL IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. I BELIEVE THESE WERE MADE FROM SOME SORT OF FIBERGLASS MATERIAL. INSIDE WEBBING IS STILL IN GREAT CONDITION. THERE IS AN ID TAG ON INSIDE BUT IT IS VERY HARD TO READ BECAUSE OF IT'S LOCATION UNDER THE WEBBING AND THE FACT THAT IT IS VERY FADED. I BELIEVE IT SAYS THAT IT WAS PATENTED IN 1943. Hello and welcome Vintage ORANGE Fibre-Metal SUPER-GLAS Hard Hat Helmet In original condition with original owners name on back on sticker(can be removed) Has a clean chin strap with an adjustable suspension head liner. As you can see from the pictures still in fairly good condition. Light scuffs-scratches- and normal wear to the orange paint. It has a really great vintage bright orange color and in good condition.
