Used/ pressure tested removed from working equipment. This is a american thermal U tube/ removable bundle heat exchanger. I was going to make a wood boiler and use this, but just dont have the time. I am including a link to there catalog but this exact model is not in it. This is a 4.25" dia shell and the shell only is about 24" long the unit is about 28.5" long overall with end bell, the tubes are about 1/4" dia the tube(end bell finitings are 1-1/4" NPT with removable reducers as shown) there are TWO 1" male fitings on the shell that are just for mounting and do not go into the shell liquid cavity. on the same side as those fittings is a 114" fitting with pipe plug installed, directly oposite that is a 3/4" NPT fitting and approx 15" above that on the same side is a what looks to be 2-3/4" ... morevery large) fitting with reducer and nipple to 2" pipe ratings as follows 300psi shell, 150psi tubes, 450deg F temp here is the link for the UCS series shipping weight 45lbs TERMS: items are sold AS-IS/ as described. Neslab RTE-220 20L Refrigerated Heated Circulator + Isolated Heat Exchanger Used. But clean, tested, and in good working condition. Some typical signs of use including a small amount of paint deterioration where the control unit meets the bath, but overall, in good shape. This unit comes with an integrated heat exchanger for heating or chilling a subject material without risk of contamination. The heat exchanger assembly was fully connected when we received the unit but it was not specifically tested other than confirming that liquid passed completely through the entire rig without leaking. This unit includes the add-on digital controller and boost heater allowing it to heat up to 130°C. As you can see in the photographs. We tested both the heater and chiller on this bath. We used normal tap water during our testing so due to freezing ... morepoints, we tested the bath down to 0°C. It will of course reach lower temperatures but you need to add some type of antifreeze to the water to lower the freezing point. In testing the heating capabilities of the bath. We ran it up to 80°C. We ran the unit for about 4 hours at each end of the temp spectrum. Total unit running test time: about 9.5 hours. No problems during any phase of the test. Temperature was verified by external laser thermometer as shown in photos. While the temp test shows apparently accurate temps, we cannot necessarily guarantee levels of accuracy appropriate to your specific application.
