The motor kicked on instantly and seems to run fine. Thats as far as I was able to test it since I don't have a metal lathe. It comes with the case and everything pictured. There is no belt with it.

A local Vocational Trade School is in the process of closing its Machine Shop program. As a result there will be an assortment of Tools and Accessories available for sale. I will list these items as they are released for disposition. I will do my best to describe these items as accurately as possible. However. Sale is final so please feel free to a sk any questions that you might have. Thank You One of the satellite machine shops is presently being liquidated. The Lathe Chucks. Face Plates and other miscellaneous tools that have been in storage are now being released for disposition. Presently there is a large assortment of Grinding Wheels being released for sale. The wheels have been removed from their original packaging and placed on a shelf for storage in the Grinding Department. By my inspection the grinding wheels look to be unused. ... moreBecause they have been removed from their original packaging and stored as shown, I represent these as being in used condition. Offered here is an assortment of Grinding Wheels that were intended for use on a DuMore Tool Post Grinder. There were 3 model DuMore Grinders being used in this shop. The small Tom Thumb, the 1/4 H.P. Model 44-011, and the 1/2 H.P. DuMore Grinder. I would think that these wheels would also be suitable for use on other small ID or OD Grinding Spindles. The bores look to be 3/8" on the small drum type, 1/2" on the cup and straight wheels, and about 3/4" on the small dish wheel. These Grinding Stones all look to be good quality stones. An original 28-page manual for the head is included. This unit is in very good condition, and looks like it was only used a few times. I purchased it at a machinist shop, it was held in storage- that is why there are scratches on the bottom. I have tested it and it's in good, working condition. The cycle timer was not tested. The top shaft pointing to left mesures approx 3 1/2 inch length. I believe this model is early 1950's but well cared for. I am not sure what the accessory tooling does so study photos. Tool gringer has a detachable metal base(see photo) with locking wing tabs. Measures 5 5/8X7 inches with number 489 in raised numerals. Top of base where tool post grinder motor mounts measures 3 5/16 wide. Base has predrilled hole so unit can be fastened to a lathe. This grinder is in great condition. There are some minor wear and scratched area's but thats it. It's spec's are: 1 HP 3 Phase 220/ 380-440 I purchased this from a neighbor who tested it for me and he said it was never used. I do not know much about it but it does work!
