Antique Western Wheeled Scraper Road Grader Horsedrawn Vintage
Best I can tell this scraper is about 1892 vintage. Seems like the company made slight variations to the models maybe for customer desires. Everything is operable. Blade shifts from side to side, raises& lowers, blade rotates. Decks have been replaced, rear seat is a tractor type& front has springs but needs the wooden or metal buggy type seat. It is not original in some respects but I tried to get it as close as I could. It has a serial plate#258 which was purchased off eBay. Packing in the wheels is gone so wheels kinda wobbly, I put shims in to hold them tight. If you want to use it behind your tractor/horses/vehicle you'll probably need to remove them. So there's still some things left for your touches or you can leave as is. I entered it in our Christmas parade in our town(on the trailer) everyone loved it. His nickname was Woody, so even though this scraper is 99.95% iron I named it after him in his honor. He used to help me work on my cars when he was a toddler. 1963 Huber road grader
Photo's will be added in near future. I have a l963 Huber road grader for sale. Was recently used by the local county road department here in Adams County, Ohio, nearest town is West Union. This grader is in good working condition, all hydraulics work, blade and scraper hooks, etc. it has a 471 Detroit diesel motor that has had new heads in fairly recent past, the engine runs very good and does not smoke, also last year the department spent $1800 on a new radiator, the tires are well worn, needs a paint job, missing front windshield, has one newer battery, has a pair to tire chains, and is in a good useable condition. This machine still runs strong. Has one flat tire. It is all worm gear driven with the exception of the side shift on the mold board which is hydraulic. Has power steering. She leaks some fluids. Which is not uncommon in a machine this age. Needs some repair on the radiator but still holds enough fluid to keep her cool. Most of the glass is broken out. Great candidate for a refurbish project or to maintain your road or remove snow.

You are bidding on a construction grade road grader. I bought this to use around my hobby farm. I paid 4500 for it this spring. It has some issues. It runs I just drove it on the trailer. In addition to that I moved all the hydraulic cylinders they all function fine. No obvious leaking cylinders. The motor is about a 25 hp Kohler engine. The engine sounds good when its running. There is a miss in the engine, at times there is no spark or compression on the left side cylinder. When its running the left side blows some fuel out the exhaust. I been told it could be a value stuck open. I don't have time or knowledge to mess with it. Buyer is responsible for picking it up. We can drive it on your trailer. Overall for the age its in good condition. The cutting edges are good, all the rubber is good. 1963 Austin Western road grader w/ wing 4x4 rebuilt 371 detroit diesel
For sale is one 1963ish Austin-Western road grader with a wing plow. This has a rebuilt 371 Detroit diesel engine with less then 500hours on it. It's been used on our dirt road here for ditching. Grading and plowing. It has NO brakes. The mastercylinder to release the blade from turning also needs replaced. We turn the blade manually and it takes 2 people. It runs and goes fine. A couple of the cylinders leak slowly and some of the fittings leak slowly. It has a crack on the turntable that has been welded in the past and needs welded again(Look at picture) but still works fine. This is a wonderful old Grader.mechanical"knuckle buster"but very fast and not much hydraulics to go to hell. I have had it about 15 years.bought it with a bad motor.bought a motor from the Amish about ten years ago.and it's perfect. Electric start.great tires.and easy to use. Now.here's the bad.the power steering leaks.and needs to have the seals replaced. It's a Shepard power assist.and that's about as good as one can get. The brake master cylinder leaks. Too.so I just use the blade to stop it. It's worked fine for me over the years.put in a mountain runway with it.over 5 miles of roads.and maintained my long drives. The forest service wasn't too happy when the grader world moved to hydraulics.as they used to leave these in the woods.at the ready in case of forest fires.as they knew they could depend on ... morethe mechanical aspect(power from the engine driving the blade and tilt)instead of having to worry about hydraulic hoses failing. If you'd like, you can come and hear it run.but it's a bitch to steer unless you fix the power assist. I did buy a hydraulic steering column.and planned on switching the steering to pure hydraulic.but I've got buddies telling me that the power assist is much better. The truth is, I'm 72.look for chances to get out of work.so I'll throw the column in. Finally, it needs batteries.two of them.although I have run it on one. Starts great.I can load on your lowboy.but I don't set up shipping.That's your headache. 1978 John Deere 670 motor grader with scarifier. 4127 hours. This grader was originally purchased by the United States Navy where it was very well maintained. It was then bought by the WV state road where it was again serviced and maintained to a high degree. We bought it from the state road and used it to maintain a small patch of road on a reclamation job for the last two summers. We have had no problems. Big or small out of this grader since we acquired it. It is a solid machine ready for work.

This grader starts and runs great. It was manufactured in the 1970's. But not sure of the exact year. It has been fitted with a low hour and strong running John Deere engine. The hours on the machine itself is unknown as the gauge stopped working a long, long time ago. We have run this machine regularly throughout the years so it doesn't have many of the problems associated with a machine that has set idle for many years. All in all, this is a good running and fully functional grader ready to work.
