Not sure how old this is. But it may be an older surgical instrument. On the handle it says'WRIGHT MFG. CO. and it has a marking on it. See photos. It has a stainless stell JACOBS CHUCK on the end. There is no key with this item, and chuck opens and closes smoothly and easily by hand. The drill turns nice and smooth and easy. The handle appears to be bent. Not sure if it was made that way or not. Will leave that to you to decide. The left thumb trigger releases the drill to spin, or locks it. The whole unit was surface scratches and dings from use and age. Nothing serious. It is still a fine looking and working instrument that could be a great addition to your collection. IBM Stop Watch/ Surgical Clock - Sept 1951 per I B M
This is a working IBM industrial time keeper clock. These clocks were used when precise time of a process. Needs to be recorded, such as in an operating room or mold time in a factory. This system uses a Zeiss slit lamp as the delivery system for either the YAG or Argon laser. This system was recently decommissioned from a facility that closed. And it is in very nice condition. It has been tested with the following results: The YAG control unit powers on with no fault indications; All functions on the control console are available and responsive to keypad input. The laser fires and creates observable holes in test material. The optics are clear and bright at all magnifications. I don't have the key for the control console, but it is in the"on" position, so it is functional without the key. The Argon laser is ... morenot functional. The laser unit powers on. The fans start, and the power light comes on, but the display unit doesn't turn on. The power for the slit lamp on this system comes from the Argon laser, so the slit lamp does not have any illumination unless the Argon laser is functioning. The system can be set up as a stand-alone YAG, but you will need obtain the power supply that is used in the stand-alone systems. No other testing was performed; please inquire if you have specific questions.
