An Estate find. it looks like a glove holder stand. But it may also be used to hold notes, letters etc. It stands about 14 inch tall with ornate base about 4 1/2 inch in diameter. It comes apart as it can be seen in pictures. Simply unscrews. Each glove clip is about 3 1/4 inch by 1 3/4 inch wide. over all in very nice condition with minor wear and patina. unmarked with only inspection sticker on the bottom. This is such a lovely and unique piece. It is a vintage clip that is meant to hold your gloves to your purse. You could also use it to hold your keys or coin purse. I love the gold tone metal that has a lovely ornate look with raised flowers(look like roses) on the clip-there are filigree flowers on each side with a mother of pearl stone in the center. Ornate Glove Holder Purse Clip Vintage 1950s New In Box #171
This little piece of history is just as handy today as it was in the 1950s. Just not as easy to find. This is a glove holder still in it's original clear box lined with purple satin. Most of the foil sticker is in the box and you can see where it was glued to the satin. This nifty little contraption has 2 snake chains that are to put around the handle of your purse, they open by pulling apart and close by pushing closed. The actual glove holder is a spring clip that has ornately embossed openwork on the actual clip. Just below the clip handles on both sides is a goldtone flower. The top of the box has what looks like some tape residue, printed in gold are the words, The Abon Glove Ring and below that is the word Patented. The backside of the little round box has some more fun information, the box may be some form of cellophane, it's ... morenot plastic as we know it.
