Glass has a couple of folds in it and bubbles that were done when it was made. Has Red and Gold paint and I am not sure when it was painted(factory? The cap on the nose end is a heavy metal and will not screw down completely. It gets tight before its all the way down. It appears to be the original cap as it matches the butt piece. 8" MONKEY GRIP "SIZZLE" TIRE PATCHES Display Box with diamond shaped patches
For your consideration I have at auction this 8 inch tall box of MONKEY GRIP patches. Box dimensions are 8 by 4 by 3 inches. The box was made with a pull-out section in front to allow for accessing one patch at a time. Called a"G-20 GIANT SIZE" it originally had 20 patches in it. I didn't count them. But there is still over half of the patches remaining. The 8th photo shows an example of one of them. This box came from an old auto garage and it is fairly old. I'd guess from the 70s/80s era. There is no bar code but it does have a zip code. This was made in Dallas. As you can tell by the photos, the box is in rough condition. Considering its use, that is expected. It has tape at the top and bottom to help hold it together. The lid is taped down. The cardboard box is colorful and Mr. Monkey is on front and 2 sides. Instructions ... moreare on the back. The patches all have a metal diamond shape edging. I do not know how it is applied to tire but somehow the name"SIZZLE" describes the process? Being an older item, this is for display/collector purposes only. They are not for actually use and you should not attempt to repair a tire or inner tube with them.
