Flower on the right and a man and woman on the front with a pyramid. There are a few imperfections that I've tried to show in the photo's. A old price sticker mark. Loose stitching on front and back bottom and side, a few loose strings on handle. The leather is soft and worn with the images coming out three dimensional. Lovely Antique Figural Painted Tooled Leather Carved Wood Jewelry Box Paw Feet
I'll start by saying I have never seen a jewelry box quite like this. It is probably a 1920s antique tooled leather jewelry box made in Italy. There is a small painting of a man and woman on top. Possibly royalty. There are two painted fruit filled cornucopia on top also. In addition there are four ribbons with a tassel attached to each on the top. The sides are painted decorations in all different types of swirls. The box itself is carved wood covered with the painted tooled leather. The paw feet are made of white metal. Each is attached with two screws. One of the legs has glue beneath it so I believe the person reattached it by putting some glue on it and then screwing it back on. It has its original key. It works in the lock but has to be jiggled a little bit sometimes. It measures 6 3/4 inches or 17.15 cm wide by 4 1/2 inches or ... more11.43 cm deep and 3 1/4 inches or 8.75 tall. This is a beautifully hand tooled leather saddle. We believe its from the 50's or 60's. Stamped Lewiston Saddle Co. I cannot find anywhere on it where the maker signed it but we were told he lived in Athol, Idaho at the time of his death and had worked for the Lewiston Saddlery Co. 13 1/2" seat, about 36 pounds. Condition is very nice and I have taken lots of photos so please look closely before bidding. The only things I can find on it that are not original are the Blevins. The leather is in great condition with no rot, light wear to stirrups. The stitching is coming loose on the horn as I show in photos that follow. Sheepskin needs redone. There are initials on the back of seat. IEC, maybe the person it was made for. Great working saddle or a nice collection and display piece! Shipping will include insurance.

The cuffs were handmade and hand tooled. Several little cattle brand emblems here and there. These belonged to an elderly woman who said her grandfather put the various brands of the ranches he worked for on the cuffs. Each cuff measures 12 inches around the top. 8 inches around the bottom, and 7 inches long, from top to bottom. Nice patina. Very cool bit of Western American history. CONDITION: Leather is somewhat stiff. It's not brittle. But these are old. A leather professional, lika a custom boot maker, might have some ... morekind of cream or oil that would soften them. There are some surface cracks(see last two photos) Also, the fasteners are worn out. Part of one of the leather laces is missing. Nice leather tripod chair. Hand tooled. no tag or inside stamping. Probably came from a kit. the seat is leather. And the legs are wood. the photos show condition. there are a couple water spots. these could probably be fixed, as leather is soaked before it is stamped. The"corners" are each hand sewn with leather strapping. One corner shows a little bit of wear, but it is not torn. Each side of the triangle measures about 16" the legs total measure 24" might affect shipping charges) but when assembled they sit about 17" high. COLLINS No. 1005 "BOLO" MACHETE w/ TOOLED SCABBARD in BEAUTIFUL ORIG. CONDITION!
Up for sale is a direct. Estate-acquired Great War vintage"bolo" machete, presumably made by the Collins Co. of Connecticut. This is an un-marked example, but by all indications, was made by Collins in the first quarter of the 20th century. This is an EXTREMELY HEAVY, robust and well-made machete, with a very curved, and still quite sharp blade, and wooden grip panels, secured via three flat-head rivets, which have a beautiful, un-touched patina. This is the less commonly seen version with the steel ferrule. The blade shows only a very light, evenly applied edge, and NO abuse. There is only one very trivial nick, barely worth mentioning except for accuracy's sake. The scabbard is likewise exceptionally clean, and exhibits nice tooling on the obverse surface. Also intact is the original belt loop and BOTH the scabbard throat ... moreand drag are made of sheet brass, with the"drag" being left open to allow for drainage. If for no other reason than their utterly utilitarian purpose, finding one of these nearly 100 year old military contract bolo machetes in such nice condition is extremely difficult, as their nature lent them a hard life, and most, when you find them, will exhibit decades of use and abuse. Dare I say, I believe you'd be very hard pressed to upgrade this example, being as that they only rarely show up for sale at all. Buy this one now to add to your US military edged weapon collection! This is fresh out of the woodwork, having never been in a collection previously, and its condition can't really be much improved upon. Buyer is responsible for actual postage costs, to be tabulated at close of sale, based on the buyers location and method shipped. These will look great on pleasure saddles and working saddles alike! this is a great looking bell shaped set of tooled leather stirrups with a gorgeous eye popping rope edge silver embellishment. The stirrups are in that darker warm pecan color. The outside surface is fully tooled with a cactus flower pattern. All of the leather is soft( Herman Oak quality) and stitch reinforced. There is no maker's mark on these. They are really good quality i.e 1980's Broken horn.The inside of the stirrup( side against the horse) is plain. There is a wide triangular shaped piece of silver. Fully engraved with a heavy rope edge that covers approximately 80% of the surface on the outside.It is 5" long vertically and graduates in width from 1" at the top to 2.75" at the bottom This is at least sterling overlay if not solid sterling. ... moreIt is sewn into the stirrups. There is a large cactus flower engraved in the bottom third, and the rest is a floating feather and scroll design. In the third picture you will see a minor"crease" for lack of a better word in the bottom of the silver. This was done in manufacturing as opposed to being damage. It will not be noticeable when you are riding. The foot rest measures 5" across and 4.25" deep( front to back) The foot rest is double thick leather reinforced. The reinforced hanging area is 3" The height dimension with in the stirrup is 5.25" These stirrups show normal wear and tear associated with normal riding usage. These were mounted on wooden plaques that were decorated with a'distressed' artist's finish of reddish stain with light gold on the edges for a really unique'Western' look. Vintage Western Tooled Leather Tapaderos with Wood Stirrups
Stirrups have a leather covered 2” tread and are 5” wide. The bar at the top is 3” Overall length of the Tapaderos is about 12½” The taps are made of very heavy leather with light tooling and white stitching. Circa 1870's or so. I have put a 7 1/2" Colt Single Action in this holster, and it fits properly. The slight bulge on the edge of the holster, about 1/4 of the way from the bottom is to accommodate the C.S.A.A. ejector housing. Other Slim Jim holsters also have a bulge, but it is higher up on the holster, and made to accommodate the loading lever of a percussion revolver. This American hand made holster is well crafted with a wide band of tooling ... morearound the borders, with an intertwined row of closely connected circles design with a double inside border and four leaf flower motifs at the corners of the tooling. This holster has a Crossed Arrows motif at the top. This is a known pattern that has been used in many different objects, and is similar to the U.S. Army Indian Scout mark. I have been told that these crossed arrows are a Maker's Trade Mark, but I don't know who the Make is. The side and bottom is finely hand stitched with multiple strands of cotton thread, with a reinforcing rivet at the top adjacent to the trigger guard. The holster is 11 1/4" tall X 4 1/2" wide. Either a 4 3/4" or 5 1/2" barreled CSAA would also fit the closed toe pattern holster and look good in it for display, but it is made to accommodate up to a 7 1/2" barrel length. There are two small holes at the bottom of the holster to attach a leather leg thong. This is to tie the holster to your thigh to secure the holster from flopping up and down when riding your horse; thus, helping to prevent the Colt Revolver from being lost while galloping. This Ashtray is very seldom found- especially in such excellent condition! The glass insert is the original. And is fitted exactly to the leather retainer/holder. For your consideration I have listed this awesome little hitched horse hair belt. This belt is 36" from end to end not including buckle. Basically it will fit a 28'32" waist. It is 1' wide with hand tooled billets from a local East Tennessee leathersmith/artist. The billets are tapered to accommodate a 3/4" buckle set. The unique set currently on the belt is from Billy Martin's in New York and is a cast silver.925. The belt hitching is vintage. Tight, beautiful, thick and in all natural colors. The first photo in the listing is very true to the belt's coloring. The vintage hitching was originally purchased from a shop in Montana. I had the billets made and replaced in 2010.
