This detector was being used by a local government agency and is believed to have been pulled in working condition. I do not have the battery charger or DC power supply. But the indicator can also run off(6) size D batteries so I was able to test it for power on, etc…It did pass the battery check and probe check and then appeared to be gathering an air sample for 60 seconds, then provided a readout. I have no way to verify if the reading is correct, but did not get any error messages. Assume you might need to get this calibrated before official use. The unit also comes with the probe as shown and the case, which is made to fit the machine perfectly. You get a portable model 8800A in excellent condition. Plus a model 8800 that has been modified for bench-top use(also missing battery cover) Tested using butane. Good working condition. Not sure of the model 8800A's battery quality. They are rechargable 2.4-volt batteries(2) They are the size of"C" batteries but not 1.5 volts, so you can NOT use regular"C" batteries. I don't have the charger for these batteries, so you would need to obtain one, and maybe two more batteries if these don't last long. I tested the model 8800A with a 5-volt AC adapter. SRI Model 8610 portable Gas Chromatograph with Flame Ionization Detector
presented for your consideration: a used SRI 8610 GAS CHROMATOGRAPH WITH FLAME IONIZATION DETECTOR This Gas Chromatograph was removed from a working environment and is in good cosmetic condition. There is a dial missing from the front panel. Please see the pictures for details of what you will receive. We have tested for power up and LED operation but no further testing has been done. The FID(Flame Ionization Detector) appears to be completely intact. Which is rare for these units. A FID alone costs over $2000 new. This Gas Chromatograph is sold As-Is. It is not a plug and play device but will require knowledge and ability to operate. Some of the interface cables are missing and you will need to know how to interface this to your computer.
