You are bidding on a very nice(cosmetically) Orion G Multi Gas Detector with adjustable probe and 3"AA" battery pack. The detector boots up fine and the pump works fine. Once the leak hourglass goes down to no bars E10 flashes on the screen and the 2 red lights blink. I have not attempted to replace any of the sensors because they are too expensive. The probe has a 19" metal adjustable line. I have paged through the online manual and I cannot find what E10 means. You are buying the detector AS-IS with no warranties and no returns. I just bought this from a business that sold firefighting equipment and this was their loaner. The 3 AA batteries are included. This is a sensor for some sort of combustible gas sniffer. It is sensitive to propane, butane, gasoline vapor, alcohol vapor, acetone vapor, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide. Internally it is a heater and a resistor that is sensitive to reducing gases or vapors. The sensor takes 5V on the heater for 14 milliseconds followed by a 236 millisecond off time. It is read out once every second or so by a 5v signal applied across the senor element. It would be ok to change the power On time within 10% provided you correct and balance the power dissipation. It is most sensitive to hydrogen and least sensitive to gasoline vapor. This sensor is new old stock. My best guess it it probably was intended to be used in a safety warning meter of some kind. I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.

TIF 8800X Combustible Gas sensor – no battery or charger
We got this from the plant closing sale of a jet engine repair facility. This is an excellent detector in mint condition! But it has no charger and one of the cells in the battery has a hole blown in the top. I tested this unit by applying 4.8 VDC to the battery input connector and supplying a whiff of propane. It is very fast and very sensitive. A TIF OEM charger and battery will cost about $90 Total. A generic 6 VDC charger and new generic batteries would cost about $15. If you work in a coal mine I would go with the TIF parts. If you are trying to find the gas tank vapor leak on your car. The generic should work just fine. We got two of these and I bought 4 Ni-mh batteries at Menards(northtec) and replaced the OEM batteries for $6.
