The pump can run while the output flow is cut off. Output rates vary with the type of oil and it's temperature. Diesel and mineral oil pumps at 12 GPM. WVO at room temperature will pump at 10 GPM. 15w40 diesel engine oil will pump at up to 10 GPM when it is above 50 degrees in temperature. These pumps are better than other pumps because they have the power to self prime with long suction hoses(20 feet) and are portable. It is better to have shorter suction hoses when possible because longer suction hoses will slow your flow rate. Another huge plus this pump offers is NO DUTY CYCLE! You can use it as long as you like without having to shut it off to cool. Other pumps you may see have duty cycles of 20 minutes or less. Sanitron Ultraviolet Water Purifier Waste Vegetable Oil Bag Filter Housing WVO
Up for sale is a large filter housing made by Sanitron. This unit was originally a UV water filter for home up through commercial grades. I stripped the components down to what you see now and intended to use it as a liquid filtration housing by retrofitting a bag filter to it. I have since changed my mind. As I already have a bag filter unit for my waste vegetable oil filtration. I am still envious of this housing, but want someone else to be able to use it. It has NPT threads all over it, and is ripe for the picking! It would easily accommodate a bag filtering system to your specs, and many bag filtering companies will custom build filters to your needs. There are male 1" NPT threaded nipples, two on the side, and one on the bottom. It would be ideal as an upright unit, and you could run a drain out the bottom, inlet and outlets on ... morethe side. The top clamps down with a heavy duty locking clamp. The top has several mounting options for pressure gauges. Right in the middle is a FNPT thread that could be kept as a sight gauge plumbed with an electric heater too. Options were too exciting for me not to gut this unit and get thinking. Wish I had left it alone and sold it whole to someone, but I think someone will get a lot of use out of this awesome unit! Unit is 36" tall. By about 9" with the wall mount installed, and about 6" wide. The internal diameter is 4" Functional internal length of about 30" Should fit a#3 or#4 bag filter beautifully. Could have custom filters made to effectively capture the volume and surface area! Rated at 100PSI. I am happy to give some advice on how to setup a system too. I currently use a bag filter system. Hoping to pass it on to someone who can use it! I am well stocked in WVO supplies from filtering to conversions. So please feel free to ask if you are looking for anything else.
