Up for sale is a great pair of used Bashlin Climbing gaffs. The original told me he bought them new in 2009 and used them about 4 months but then quit his apprenticeship. They don't look like they have much use on them. All straps and leather are in great condition They do have debris on the felt section that goes around your calf. They are adjustable in length. The spikes themselves seem solid and sharp. The upper leather straps are good but could use some oiling. The foot straps are a thinner leather that don't seem as high of quality and are two different styles from each other so I don't think they are original to these. The spikes measure about 1 1/4" by 2" The gaffs have old leather straps that are dry and have some cracks. There are only three straps as one is missing. There is a yellow belt that has a copper tag that shows an elephant climbing a pole. Reads" Franklin PA. SN 1272, code#6390" It appears to be made of nylon and leather. The second belt is leather with copper rivets and is also dry. It reads"Alexander Bros" These are older' vintage gaffs and belts. Klein 1907 arborist/linemans pole/tree climbing spikes gaffs with Buckingham 3500c Velcro straps. Good condition. They have been used for a while, I have used myself and they work great. The length is adjustable as well as the straps for legs and ankles. The spikes are replaceable. There is a srew missing from one of the shaft, I have used it without but a new set of screws are $5-$8.

Scratches, rust tarnishing on the metal but surprisingly they are holding up and are in working condition. No size is indicated. The leather belt is 46 inch overall length and the leather is weather, wore or age checked and has no makers mark. The reddish yellowish belt is 51 inches overall length and has some corrosion on the metal parts,no makers mark. I wear size 40 waist in pants and the reddish yellowish belt barely fits, the leather belt does not fit, to small. These items have been stored in a shop for years and are dusty and dirty. please look at the pics carefully as they can explain item condition better than I can.
