2 Vintage Original Tokheim Porcelain Gas Pump Face Plates in great condition for their age! These pump plates fit a Tokheim Model 39 pump. They are unusual because of the placement of the mounting holes. And they have 4 places for the price as opposed to the majority that have only 3 places. Both measure 17-1/2" long and 12-7/16" wide.The mounting holes measure 7-3/4" on center from side to side, and 7- 1/4" on center to the bottom mounting hole from each of the other holes. There is a part number on the top left of each face plate that reads 1-404774. Both have a minor chip on the bottom edge. One has a slight chip on the top left near the part number. Rare Vintage / Antique Tokheim 800 Clock Face Gas Pump in Liters - Freight?
This item may go freight! I recently discovered that my local bus depot may be able to send an item such as this for a considerable savings. This is a rare find in America. This Tokheim clock face gas pump distributes gas in liters. As opposed to gallons. The clock face shows it all. The clock goes from 0-95 in 5 liter increments. There is also a"computer" built into the unit, more on that below. This is a partial restoration. The item has been repainted in the Harley Davidson colors. And the Harley Davidson decal was added. This was probably brought to the US from Canada. These pumps were used by trucking companies and other commercial outfits. After doing several hours of research on this item online. I have found out several thing: First this is an"overhead discharge" model. Originally there was a hose that ran from ... morethe bottom of the cage to the nozzle to distribute the fuel. Second this is a remote pump meaning that it hooked up to an underground fuel storage tank and drew the fuel from underground. Or remotely. Third the spinning number counter. That looks like an odometer, was originally called a"computer. It tells how many liters were distributed from this tank. The counter, or computer, reads"6XX,XXX" which may have turned over one or more times. It has been used and is in used condition. It is not in bad condition by any means. The maker of this pump. John J. Tokheim, invented the first known visible gas pump. I found some biographical information online from an article written in 2002 about John J. Tokheim: John J. Tokheim was born in the small village of Odda. Hardanger Bay) Norway, in 1871. He came to the United States as a young man of sixteen in 1887, paying for his passage by working for ten months on an Iowa farm located near Thor, Iowa. The pump is made of a heavy die-cast metal. T he sign on the top of the pump is the blue and yellow Chevrolet Super Service logo. This pump is in the 1950's series and is a limited edition. The four digit serial number stamped on the bottom of the box is#0064. The item number on the front of the box is#66033. The pump is displayed in a window box having these approximate dimensions: 11 inches high. 6 inches wide, and 6 inches deep. The window box has a decorative gas station design in the background. The pump is suspended in a molded plastic ... morewithin the window box. Because I am not the original owner. I am unsure if the pump has been used or if the box has been opened. The pump appears unused and intact. There are some lines(possible sticker cracks) on the Chevrolet sign on top of the pump. The overall condition of the box is fair because there is a noticeable crease on one side and two indentations on the top of the box. It also has slight wear on the edges and corners. It is marked on the handle: EMCO Wheaton 406941 12 70 200A Pat. 3.062,247and 3,196,908. The handle also has a Tokheim No. 646 swivel end for a hose on the end. It is used so does have scratches, some pitting, and wear from use and age but would make a nice collectible. The trigger moves up and down but I have no way to test the entire handle to see if it operates. A great item for the gas pump restoration. Payment is to be made by Pay Pal only. Tokheim 36B Unrestored Gas Pump
Offered foe sale is this Tokheim 36B. The pump is in unrestored condition. Unrestored 36B's are extremely difficult to find. The pump as it stands with it's patina. Would make a good display piece as is. Or if you prefer, a great restoration project. The pump is covered with a haze of surface rust but all the sheet metal is solid with no rust through. I am including a used face plate and trim spears that were missing when I acquired the pump. The impossible to find top is undamaged. The pump is available for local pick up. If you want to ship it you must make the arrangements. I recommend using a blanket shipper.

These do not come up very often so get it while you can! Here is a strange Tokheim 5-Speed Gear for bicycles. This is made by the famous industrial manufacturer! It is not like anything you have ever seen for a bike transmission yet it does allow a straight chainline for all gears. In fact. If you could mount this on a Sturmey Archer or Shimano three-speed hub you would have a 15-speed bike with a straight chainline. In more fact. I have a 3-speed Dana Bottom Bracket Gear in another auction and if you mounted that with this Tokheim on a 14-speed Rohloff Speedhub. you could have a 210-speed bike with a straight chainline throughout. I don't know how many would be duplicates; that's an exercise for the buyer. I think the equivalent sprocket sizes on this Tokheim are 12-16-21-28-34 teeth. Although it's not like you got a choice. ... moreThis includes the rear hub which either fits or can be made to fit almost any bike; no control is included but it seems like any regular friction derailleur lever would work and maybe things like a Sturmey Archer 5-speed click-shift would also work; maybe other derailleur click-shifters. Tokheim 39 Short gas pump Shell Theme
You are bidding on a very nice restored tokheim 39 short gas pump done in a shell theme. The restoration is 95% complete. The pain I'm fantastic! Shines very nice. To finish the pump off you will need another shell sign( only 1 side has the porcelain shell sign) The 2 hose guards and a hose. You will get the nozzle but it is apart. I took it apart to polish it but never got go it. All these parts can be had for about $100 at vicks66.com The shell sign is on using double sided tape I didn't want to drill holes. One door does not have the locking mechanism so I kept it closed with double sided take. Great pump everything lights up! Will gladly ship but buyer responsible for shipping.
