Rare Amber Glass Cod Liver Oil Bottle with Fisherman and Large Fish on Front
This listing features a vintage cod liver oil bottle made by Owens-Illinois Glass Co. It is dark amber glass without the original metal screw cap. On the front there is an embossed fisherman carrying a large fish on his back. On the bottom it is embossed with the glass mark for Owens-Illinois. There is a 4 to the left of the glass mark which is the factory code for Clarksburg. West Virginia. There is a 7 to the right of the glass mark(may mean 1947 origin) and there is a 7 below the glass mark which indicates the mold cavity number. This antique bottle is in very good condition commensurate with age and has no chips or cracks. It measures 9" tall and is 3" across and 2 3/4" deep. The inside of the bottle is dirty.

This sign is out of my area of interest or field of knowledge. I bought it from the man who took it off the barn in Yadkin County North Carolina- N.C. NC. It measures right at 6 feet by 3 feet. An old original to the piece frame boarders the whole thing. But it is weathered, cracked, worn, etc. It's untouched and still kinda dirty. Old touch-ups here and there but you can see. It had a long life. I assume the number in the 4th photo reflects it's year of manufacture: 39 or 1939. Tin in the frame is not that heavy but will cost a lot for me to ship. This is a vintage service logo STANDARD OIL COMPANY(Indiana) one liquid quart glass bottler oiler. The glass and spout are in original condition. No cracks or chips to the glass. The metal spout is embossed'The Master Mfg. Co. Patd. Sept 14, 1926. The bottle measures approximately 16" in height including the spout; 9.75" in height for only the bottle; and, 3.25" in diameter across the bottom of the 1 quart bottle. This antique is in great condition for its age; excellent display piece. I tried to take meaningful pictures of the bottle so you can see the verbiage. It was difficult.
