I have several oil cans made by The Omega Oil Company. I have done research on this company. But I don't come up with anything. It probably was manufactured in the 1950s or early 60s. I believe this might be a rare find. This can for sale is full. There are no puncture holes anywhere on the can. The colors are very vibrant and there are various drawings of a car. Motorcycle, truck and others on the top portion of the can. the only flaws i see are from manufactering minor rubing from moving around in there cases during shipping they come straight out of the case to you. 1942 World War II era Coke promotional/ educational booklet: OIL— a modern necessity” This is an uncommon item for the advanced Coke collector. It is a booklet published by Coca-Cola for use by schoolchildren as part of a classroom series on“Our America. The individual booklets were devoted to different U.S. industries. And were hands-on"activity" workbooks in which children completed the booklets by pasting a group of illustrations into designated spaces in the workbook. As an introductory page explains: Here is a book that you can help to make. The book has spaces for twenty pictures that tell about oil. This Our America booklet is titled“Oil— A modern necessity. It measures 8 x 11 inches in size. And is 16 pages long with its covers. Its staples are rusted and there is a small amount of discoloration on the paper adjacent to ... morethe staples, but the booklet was never used at all, and remains in excellent condition overall. The booklet is copyrighted 1942 by the Coca-Cola Company. On the back cover is a little Coke logo with the statement. Developed by The Coca-Cola Company and Approved by Leading Educators— Distributed by The Coca-Cola Bottling Company. What makes this particular copy of the booklet especially rare is that it still has 3/4ths of the paste-down pictures in their original form. As they were distributed to schoolchildren. Printed in strips of 5 illustrations, they have not been cut apart, or pasted into the booklet. Included are the strips representing panels 1-5 and 11-20, but the second strip with panels 6-10 is missing. The three strips which are present have been folded once but are otherwise in mint, pristine condition.
