No leaks. The spout has rust as well, but is still flexible. I can't however get the spouts cap off. Maybe some liquid wrench or WD40 would do it. Can is marked G US on one side and the other side only G. The bottom is marked ICC 5L G P 20-5-51. So this holds 5 liters and not 5 gal? I left the can in as found condition. The can is embossed"US" on both sides along with W RCC 53 on the top. The can measures 18" tall. 6-1/2" deep and 13-1/2" wide. The can has heavy scratching, rubbing, dirt and rusting around the opening. The inside has light rusting. Nothing has rusted through and the can is structually sound!

Usually I don't believe in USMC marked cans as most of them were made by the US Metal Can Corporation. BUT, this one really is Marine Corps and the proof is stamped in the bottom of the can. The Manufacturer is NOT USMC, but Bennett. Gas cans did not have two manufacturers. This one was cleaned up and painted Marine Corps green. The gasket is missing but those are easily replaced. There is some minor rusting inside but overall is relatively clean and should be quite usable. I did not test for leaks but none of the oxidation appears to be more than surface. I will also combine auctions and accept local pick up. However. Please note. The Buy It Now price is for ONE can! These cans are in very good to excellent condition and appear to have been stored indoors since new. Vintage pre-C.A.R.B. cans with no California emissions equipment! Each can may have a few very small paint imperfections. But all cans are free of dents. The paint appears to be original. No sign of rough use, trail abuse or really any use at all, for that matter. Caps are retained by their original chains, and the threads are clean and operate smoothly. Cap seals are in great condition with no cracks. The date code on the bottom of all three cans is USMC 20-5-74. The inside of each can is very clean with minor surface rust. Please check the photos. This is a Vintage 6 Gallon 16 OZ. Blitz Gas Can(Model 11841) The color has some fade. There are nicks, and plenty of scratches and scrapes. I don't know if there is supposed to be a gasket in this spout. But there is not one. I turned the can over and shook it around for at least a minute and not a drop leaked out of the spout or the vent cap. Both caps did not show any signs of leaking. Nor the spout when pouring. The vent cap still has a nice snug fit and the spout is in good vintage condition and functions fine. I'm starting this auction off at a great price for this Item! P.S If you think you need a gasket. You can find gaskets for gas cans on ebay for around a few bucks total. Thanks so much!

Rare Copper Fuel Can Jerry Gas Can Container 19"+
Very rare copper jerry can/ fuel container. This can seems to be extremely rare. Due to not being able to find another like it. I have not found one in copper and have asked many about this container and they have never seen a copper one. This can came from an old estate in south texas. This can measures approximately 16 7/8" tall not including spout, with spot: 19 3/8" tall x 14 1/4" wide x 6 3/4" deep, the piece on the side is not included in width, it measures approximately 1 5/8" out from side. The container is copper inside and out and the base is a black painted metal, the bottom does have some rust, see photos, Although it is a solid container. This is also a very heavy piece. Very shiny Blitz 5 gallon metal GI. Jerry gas can with spout and holder, Jeep Description Offered is a five gallon gas can made by Blitz. It's metal. With great red paint. This was made in 1998 and is in near mint condition. There is one small dent, without a crease, and I find four or five small spots of missing paint. Otherwise, this is in great shape, and even has the original stickers. With the can you get a holder. Also like new. That's sticker residue you see in the photo. The cap has the rubber gasket, and you get the spout, which does have a bit of surface rust- not as shiny as the rest of the set. All that's missing is the strap. Buyer pays actual shipping.
