This listing is for a 2 1/2 gallon(9.5 L) Vented Blitz gas can. It is thick metal with 1 handle. It is used, and has the original cap, and the original flexable spout. The can itself is vented. The can is in good shape and the inside looks clean, but has a slight gas smell. There is a few scrapes on the bottom but nothing that will affect the integrity of the can. Made in the USA. This is for a 1953 Jerry Can it is used and has several dents as seen in picture.I put a brand new gasket on the lid before painting the can. It has been sanded lightly and repainted over to od green there was a lot of surface rust on the can and not all of it came off just some of the heavier parts. Maybe the paint will make it last for several years before any problems its lasted 60 years already. Has rust& paint loss on can and the spout. It does not leak as I have tested it before listing it for sale. The gasket/ seal does have a small crack.But still work OK/ fine. 1973 US Military USMC jeep jerry gas can. Bottom reads: DOT-5L. USMC. 20-5-73. Good solid condition as pictured. Measures approx 18" x 13" x 6 1/2" Old gas drained and can has been left to air dry. Un-scientific flashlight inspection inside shows decent condition. Not sure if I'm see rust flaking starting, or dried gas residue junk in bottom. I have for sale one(1) used Camo Painted"Jerry can" complete set Description; 1981 USMC 5gl metal military fuel can. Mount, lockable straps, and hardware. Ready to be installed. Just drill the holes and use the included hardware(not pictured) to mount this on the side or top of your vehicle! Comes with early version(hard to find) straps that are a lot more solid than the standard type(see pic 11) Can is in very good condition. threads are precise. Lid tightens down, the gasket is new, it has been tested for leaks and the vent works. Has US and G stamps on sides, USMC on bottom. This can has seen some use and there are a few very small dings(see pic7) but NO holes or leaks. I do not see many this good inside, so I consider it to be in very good condition. 1945 1960 Post War US Original Jeep WC CCKW DUKW Jerry Gas Can Nozzle Spout
You are bidding on an 1945 1960 Post War US Original Jeep WC CCKW DUKW Jerry Gas Can Nozzle Spout Post War version with flat screen filter The spout was recently obtained from a sale. The exact age is unknown. I believe this to be an original standard issue Jerry 5-gallon gas can spout for the US Army. USMC, USN military Jeeps and other military vehicles. The spout is referred to as a Flexible Pouring Nozzle/ Spout(the Donky Dong) for the US Jerry Cans with the large mouth. The spout has the crimped screw on collar with the original flat screen strainer. Which is a postwar era replacement for the WWII cone type filters. The spout is stamped US inside the cam lever. Not sure if the flexible tubing is galvanized or cadmium plated. The flexible spout itself is 15" long, and from end to end the spout is 16” long. The flexible tube is a 1 ... more1/4" diameter. The base end has(2) large brads on both sides that hold the cam lever on. The spout has on the base the rubber ring and rubber gasket and has a pull down lever that expands the ring into the mouth of the can. The gas can spout is in good condition. No leaks, runner gaskets are a little cracked but work well… As with the vintage of the spout, there is some light normal wear, some dings and surface discoloration spots, a little rust thru a very end of strainer cap…all as noted from the photos.
