Up for bid is a used OPW 11-VF 47 long spout gasoline dispenser. I don't know too much about it. But everything looks to be intact, the threads on the inlet are in good shape, there is a small scratch on the outlet part and the rubber next to it on the vapor recovery system is a little bit blemished(see pics) but these don't look like they would effect the functionality of the nozzle. Up for auction is this solid brass gas lamp. in the form of a wall bracket lamp. Probably Edwardian or early 1920s. Complete with brass Bijou sized inverted mantle burner complete with ceramic nozzle(where the mantle hangs) A pretty curved tube swan neck. The overall projection from the wall is 240mm, and total height 170mm. The brass wall plate is 53mm diameter. Brass bracket-back has 3 fixing holes and gas connection to rear. Gas tap still turns, uncleaned and untouched. The lamp is fitted to a swivel which allows it to be turned in to the wall when not in use, so less liable to damage. Tap unit has an Rd. Registered design number, hard to read but looks like 554065, which would date to about 1911. The burner has gas and air adjustments, a pretty decorated brass shade gallery(complete with all 3 mounting screws still working) takes a shade ... more50mm top flange fitting. Hot gas jet heater unit is used to apply concentrated(spot) heat to the work area. Working gas(usually N2) heats it up(coil heater) to the desired temperature and directed toward work piece. Heated zone is a function of the distance from the nozzle. The unit has two pneumatic cylinders that may be used to actuate movement of the nozzle for automation. Unit is in good working condition. This is a 15" Texaco porcelain gas pump sign. It is very thick and heavy.I do not know the age of this sign.I am not claiming that it is an original.I am not claiming that it was made in 1930. The sign is dated 4. 30. I just simply don't know much about the sign.I got it from a man who said it came from an old warehouse that his father tore down years ago.I have no idea how long it had been in the warehouse.The sign may have small scratches and tiny chips.I am listing it as used because I do not know the history of the sign.I did not go to any repop store and buy it.There is no place on the internet where you can buy it either. All I can tell you is that the sign is in great condition.If you are restoring a pump,and you don't have $1000-you may want to bid on this one.
