Up for bid is a nice old EMPTY 5-gallon Eagle Safety Gas Can. It's in very good shape for its age. Which I'm guessing is at least 35-40 years old. Of course, it has the expected wear from something that has been lying around in an old garage for many years, some scratches and rust, and some dings and paint splotches, but no large dents(please see my photos) The original metal handle is still attached and operational; what a cool-looking old gas can! This auction is for a used vintage Eagle 2-1/2 gallon gas can. It is a model SP-2-1/2 and was made in Wellsburg. West Virginia. It is made of galvanized steel and has an original rubber pour spout. I do not know when this was made but it looks to be vintage. This gas can is in good used condition. I have not used this can but it appears to be in good solid condition with no holes or serious rust. The plastic vent cap is missing and the rubber spout is missing the end stopper plug. It has scratches. Scuffs, and paint chips throughout. It has a few dents and some paint splatter which shows in the pictures. The metal screw cap on the spout is rusted. The rubber spout looks fine with no damage but is missing the end stopper plug. The interior of the can looks good and clean as far as I can see, but it does have some light rust or sediment spots. ... moreThe can has gas smells from use. In this auction you are bidding on one used Vintage copper 2 pc peanut roaster as shown. I purchased this unique gas operated piece at an estate auction. The top piece is where the peanuts are placed for roasting and is made of copper. The bottom piece sets on legs and contains the gas mechanism for roasting and is made of another kind of metal. Together the two pieces stand about 32" tall to the top of the eagle and weigh about 32 lbs. The top copper piece is about 17" tall by 19" wide. This peanut roaster has several unique features like the eagle on top. Bottom access door, the design etc. What a great conversation piece for display in your home or in a business. The peanut roaster shows signs of repair and wear but is still a great display item. Vintage Metal Eagle 2 1/2 Gallon Gas Can Model #502 Made in the U.S.A.
Original Vintage Eagle 2.5 Gallon Gas Can Model#502 Made in the U.S.A Can is in good shape there is some paint loss and a few dents the biggest one being 5" long and 3" wide and half inch deep at lowest point and is under nozzle and to the right. The inside of the can is spotless this is one of the cleanest i have ever seen if it wasn't for the faint leftover smell of gas once being in there you wouldn't think anything was ever in it i can't say enough about how nice the inside of can is. Has both caps the large vent cap is a darker shade of red so i don't think it's original to this can but it fits and screws on like it belongs there so i think it's off another eagle can. The small cap still have the gasket or o-ring on them it is a kind of double cap i haven't seen much of very cool feature.
