This is part original and part reproduction. I purchased this at a local tag sale. The can is a vintage Eagle 1/2 gallon gas/ oil can with a nice spout. It's constructed of thick steel(not cheap tin) I suspect that it was painted red somewhere along the way. It's very clean. You could probably store oil in this little guy. But I think it's really a shelf piece. The Shell labels are stickers. Not original. But they look good. Nice piece to fit in a small open space in your garage. It's 8" tall and about 5" wide. This is an older Vented Eagle 2.5 gallon gas can that was made before the"vents" were banned by the Government. A couple of Dents on the outside and some surface rust on the spout cap and on the can itself. Spout cap works fine however. The Galvanized interior section of the can is clean and ready to go. Vent cap works but has been broken away from its hold mechanism. Everything in working order. These vented cans are getting harder and harder to find.
