Up for auction is this set of Lineman Climbing Tools. The belt is a Miller Brand D-Size 25. In great used condition with no loose stitching or enlarged holes. It comes with a 4 pocket tool pouch, a Bashlin Ditty bag and a nylon positioning strap. The leather is soft and supple. The pole climbers are Bashlin Orange offset hooks. These came out of Wyoming and belonged to a true old school Logger that was hard at work back in the 1960s.The patent puts the design back to 1934 but of course that's just the design.MSA has been been making safety equipment since 1914 when old Thomas Edison helped them get there start.These are adjustable and are set up for interchanging with different size gaff points.The son could not not find the longer logger points so we have to settle for the linemans.You can see in picture#9 that the WM Bashlin legging Pads were fabricated to fit this set sometime in the past by the old guy.Looks like he just bent over metal belt loop to lock into place.Would have come with leg belt straps originally I assume.Other than general wear picture#10 shows one leather belt loop that has broke.More than likely could be repaired.

Bashlin Aluminium Linemans spikes hooks
For the Professional: Bashlin Aluminum hooks are the Cadillacs of lineman spikes. These served me well. the leather needs some saddle soap and one of the buckles needs a trip to the shoe shop. See the field repair I made and never got around to taking them in. It worked for me. These have pole spikes but can be easily and cheaply replaced with tree hooks if that's what you need. Good afternoon folks.Today i have this pair of metal and leather gaffs in very good condition spikes are very sharp and about 3" long. Leather is in decent shape. But should be saddle soaped.Can't find a name on the gaffs. Comes with the strap that is signed Klein. I'm guessing the gaffs are also klein, as both strap and gaffs came togeather, but can't be sure.Nice usable set-up.Check out my other set of gaffs.
